Listen, I've breastfed 3 kids (two of whom breastfed until they were 4 yrs old) I know all the ins and outs of it. In that time I've used 6 different pumps of various brands and outside of the one we rented from the hospital (you know the 700.00 dollar one) this little pump by Ameda was far and away the best. Even though it is manual, it is super easy, expressed the most milk, was the cheapest, easiest to clean, etc. I loved everything about this! If I had to be honest though, the only slight fault it had was that it broke kind of easily. Now let me quick qualify that by saying, as long as you always put it away after using it you will be fine. I would leave it lying about and thus stepped on it twice and each time that cracked it. So no, it doesn't hold up to being stepped on (hey some of my others did) but if you aren't the type to do that then consider it fault-free and if you are the type to do it, it's cheap to replace it's still worth it!
