I received this little manual pump in my "kit" when I rented an Ameda hospital grade pump. Luckily I was able to keep it when I returned the pump. I now have a different double electric pump but I always keep this for back ups. I am a working mom and exclusive pumper, so it's not always convenient to use this all the time, so I need the double electric especially at work. I always have this one ready to go in my bag in case of unforseen problems, like the motor going out, if I forget parts or if I'm in a place where I can't plug in but need some relief. It's simple to put together, clean and sterilize, and use. You just place on the breast and squeeze with your hand! You can control the suction and frequency. Obviously, with any manual pump, your hand will get tired. I don't think this one is any more tiring than others though. All in all, I would recommend this pump if you use a manual pump or regularly, or to keep as a back up for electric pumps. Sometimes, it's nearly saved my life when I thought I would have to go a whole work day with no relief!
