If you can't use a window air conditioning unit or want to spot cool areas, the Amcor Portable Air Conditioner can offer some much needed relief from the heat. Since it's a portable air conditioner, you will need to empty the resevoir which collects the moisture. Some owners do not like having to empty water from the air conditioner and recommend using a hose to route the water to a drain. Others do not have that option for various reasons and however they still find that it's worth the extra work to cool those small areas not suited to our options. We had a sun porch added on to our home but there was no room for duck-work so we looked into portable air conditioners and this one did a great job. It hooks up quickly and cools the same although it can be noisy on the high speed. But when your hot who cares.

I bought the Amcor portable Air Conditioner ALD-12000EH in '06, thinking that it was going to cool the living room comfortably. Boy, was I wrong!! It does NOT meet any of my expectations!!

Don't like having to remove the condensed water from the unit!

While this portable AC works well, it has a very small capacity resevoir for the condensed water (humidity) it removes.  Hence, you will be running to the unit after it beeps to relieve the tank.  The unit shuts down when full and will not restart until empty.  A suggestion is to let it continually drain if you can accomodate the included hose to the sewer.  This is not practical in most situations.  Look for a more intelligent brand that uses the two hose system (intake/output) to the window.  These rarely require any emptying.  My suggestion: DeLonghi Pinguino series.

price is ok about $450.00 is  noisy though .  water cup in non removable which means is awkward to empty out.  Can be used as a dehumidifer and fan also  haven't tried to use the heating system.  Also pulls out condensation through the exhaust.  Has digital and remote control to it.

 

I like the sharp  the Sharp CV-P12LX way better and is real quite.

 

If you can spare the extra bucks get this one instead

This is great. Portable so use anywhere. Light weight and easy to move. I would definitely recommend this to any friend or family member. No better price than here for item. This is not that big either and doens't stand out like a sour thumb. Wish is only came in differnt colors.

Happiness in the summer when the temperature reaches a 100 degrees or over, you want the coldness from an air conditioner.  Reviewing the Amcor Portable Air Conditioner ALD1200 EH, it qualifies to give you the coolest that you desire.  When rolling it in to whatever room you want, "putting the pedal to the medal."  So in control  knowing that the location where it is place is very important.  Quality of the air that  Amcor Portable Air Conditioner is great covering 12,000 BTU'S and easy to install and remove.

We purchased the Amcor windowless air conditioner in July, 2008. We needed a windowless unit because of the layout of the house. The unit we purchased was the 14,000 btu model. It came with a remote contol and timer and an easy to install venting system that vents heat and moisture from the room. It weighs about 60 lbs and has rolling casters for moving about.The unit was suprisingly quiet and it efficiently cooled two rooms of about 500 square feet. My new portable air conditioner is already my best friend! A friend of mine recommended it for use before the summer months get here and I'm glad that I listened to her. It is the best thing that has happened to me since I got married! The weather is getting hot and the entergy rates are already soaring with it!But with my new little help and friend, my portable air conditioner, I am more than ready for the summer. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for i little help with the heat that won't put the squeeze on your pocketbook this summer!

AMCOR PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER IS a really portable and cool machine. Although it is a little noisy while it's working but you can get used to it. And it's power and efficient expecially during hottest days, it can really help and cool you down. And it has remote control and easily to stall and remove. But it has to put close to window. But after all I am really happy to have it in hot summers.

Not very efficient. However, it keeps the room very cold. Somewhat noisy. I do think it is one of the coldest bitterly freezing airconditioners I have ever used in my entire life. If you need to cool off in the summer, then this ac is the best one for you or a group of people. It can cool a huge area in no time whatsoever. I highly reccomend this to anyone who is in the market to purchase one.

Amcor ALD 12000EH Portable Air Conditioner is convenient and cheaper than most brands. i'ts easy to use. it's just small but it does the job of most air conditioners in the market.  Although others would say that it cools easily and bulky since it's not installed, i would definitely recommensd this to my friends and relatives.  the pros certainly outweigh the cons.

This Air conditioner is useful in a limited space. For rooms larger than a potential appartment or standard size room this product will not be sufficient. Though in smaller spaces as mentioned about it is handy and helps keep one cool on a hot day. For bigger and larger spaces I reccomend installing a full air conditioning system that generates air flow throughout the whole house.

The amcor ald 12000eh portable air conditioner is a great air conditioner, they work well and you dont have to worry about sticking it in a window. They are great for students. I use this system in my bedroom which is on the third floor. I never thought that it would be coolerm until i bought this item. I would reccomend this item to anyone who is looking to stay cool.

This is a product you do not want in your house.  My light bill went up 100 dollars a month and it is just a huge power hog.  Go with something less powerful for a medium size house.  I can't afford an Air Conditioner like this I don't think anyone would pay that much more just for this thing.  Buy a smaller one or one that is more energy friendly.

Perfect for Low Income Families

I am a single mother and I this machine is absolutely wonderful for me.  I have central air and it is absolutley horrfying to receive my electris bill after a hot month.  With this machine, I use it from room to rrom and it works excellent.  Not to mention fast and it keeps me and my family cool.
