A Great take with you juicer!

5

This is another one of those products where you are really glad you have one, when a recipe calls for the juice of a lemon or a lime. I like the fact that it does not take up a lot of room in the drawers. I also like the fact that no juice is ever wasted when using this product, because you are in control over how much or how little juice you need from it. Pulp Setting Effectiveness There is really no issue with the pulp as it basically stays in the fruit, although some with tend to come out with the juice depending on how forceful you squeeze the handles. Stability While in Use Since I am holding it, there is plenty of stability with this unit. Ease of Cleaning I just soak it for a short period of time, then rinse it off. Durability I have had for quite some time and so far so good. Versatility/Number of Features No special features, although it is not about that. I like that you can use your hand and that does the trick. Of course, it can only be used for limes or very small lemons. Design Simple in design, no frills with this unit.

Simple and perfect

I love the Amco 2-on-1 Juicer, I use mine all the time and it is perfect for quick stuff whether you need the lime/lemon juice for baking or cooking. It is a great price and super durable and easy to use. The cleaning is easy as well. Its a good idea to wash it with really hot water every once in awhile to get out and small pieces of lime that get stuck in the holes. My daughters love helping me with this part of preparing the food. They get a kick out of it. This is a must have in every kitchen whether you are a professional or beginner. Pulp Setting Effectiveness There isn't a setting it just seeps through, but that works fine for me. Stability While in Use Easy and simple to use, my kids do it all the time. Ease of Cleaning Really easy to clean and best results when you use hot water. Durability Mine has lasted for years and I have had no problems with it. Versatility/Number of Features No versatility, just a squeezer! Design Design is simple and all you need to complete the purpose. You don't need anything out of this world to get lime/lemon juice.

Good for small amounts- not a keeper, though

First of all, I bought this juicer to use while cooking- for the occasional citrus (lime/orange) that the recipe calls for. It worked great for nearly a month, and I used it for quick extractions when I needed more than just a spritz of lemon or lime juice. The handle, however, would get slippery and a little sticky during the use and had to be washed thoroughly. The stickiness remained after just one wash, and soap and detergent had to be used multiple times to make it touchable again. The juicer however, soon proved to be less than satisfactory. My daughter had decided to use it to extract a large amount of juice from an orange for drinking purposes, and something happened to the mechanism. Now, it needs quite a bit of pressure to squeeze and seems to be scraping against itself. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to throw this out and get a new one from a different brand- the construction just doesn't seem very solid. It is effective at pulp setting, but design, durability, and easiness to clean are definitely negatives. I'd say save your time and buy a different juicer.

Pretty good for small jobs

I have to say that I have previously and in the past purchased and used this Amco 2 in 1 Juicer and found that it was ok but not great. I found that it worked wonderful when I wanted to make an individual glass of fresh squeezed lemonade. This definitely did the trip. I would not recommend this hand held juicer for large jobs as it could get very time consuming. You do have to use some muscle so anything more than a few squeezes and you actually get a work out from it. I can say that one good thing about this Amco two in one juicer is the price. It is very reasonable and affordable so anyone can try it without breaking their budget. I can say that it was pretty easy cleaning this product it took a little extra work to get the pulp off and out of the crooks and crannies but overall it was pretty simple. I would definitely recommend this for small jobs. I also have to say it will not last forever as far as durability goes.

Convenient and comfortable to use

I juice lemons all the time and this little gadget has been so useful in my kitchen. Before I got the Amco juicer, I used a bowl style citrus juicer for lemons and limes because the squeeze style ones that I kept running into weren't big enough for all lemons. But when I saw this Amco squeeze juicer, I bought it right up. It has a divider for different sizes, how smart! I did think it was a bit pricy at first. I hate tossing good money at things that don't work. However, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. This juicer is a well made, quality item. Mine has seen a lot of use and has held up well over time. I've now had it around two years. Definitely worth the price. This one does lemons and limes of all sizes. It squeezes out every last drop of juice with little pressure, making it convenient and comfortable to use. Bonus, it's a quick clean and takes up less space when stored then my old bowl juicer.

Flimsy juicer that barely works

1

This is the worst juicer I have ever owned. I only used it a few times before I decided that it was worthless and bought a more expensive juicer. Only a small fruit or vegetable can go inside the compartment. Right away I am limited in what I can juice. Another limitation is that the fruit or vegetable has to be over ripe. Otherwise, I can not juice the fruit or vegetable because the machine cant handle it. It takes a lot of force to get any juice out of it. There is not a place for the juice to come out of the machine either. The device is easy to grip and the concept is great for a juicer, but this machine falls flat due to the problems that I stated above. I would highly recommend that you save your money for a more expensive type of juicer that actually works. Pulp Setting Effectiveness No setting. Ease of Cleaning Simple to clean Durability Not durable at all. I'm surprised it did not break when I used it. Versatility/Number of Features Limited use. You can only juice small fruits. Design Good idea, but poorly executed.

Inexpensive But Requires A Lot of Hand Strength

I have had a couple of different human-powered juicers and they worked well when I needed to extract juice from a lemon to make Lemon Chicken or from an orange to use with other ingredients for a marinade. Having one of these around eliminates having to drag out a countertop juicer but you are going to have to have some hand strength to be able to close the sections and get all of the juice out. You can use this on oranges, lemons, limes and tangerines but you do need to be mindful of the seeds if you haven't plucked them out. The downside is that this gets sticky and can be messy to use for more than a couple of pieces; if you are going to try to use this for grapefruits you are going to need to get the smaller ones because the large / regular sized ones will not fit into the center cavity without cutting part of it away. Again, the seeds can be a problem so use a small metal strainer to check the juice before adding it to something you are cooking or using as a marinade. It is a well made hand held juicer that can evenly press out the liquid from a piece of fruit but it is rather easy to not use even pressure and end up with it not coming down evenly on the pieces. Since the top and bottom part of the juicer are connected it does make it a little easier to use than the hand held juicers that are made up of two individual pieces but it's not exactly perfect. Cleaning this after each use is a must; don't just toss it in the sink because the plastic can end up retaining whatever you just pressed in it. It needs to be washed in hot water with a dish soap to get rid of all traces of the juice; I do not suggest putting this in the dishwasher because when it is going through the rinse cycle the inside of the juicer could end up with food stuck to it.

Amco 2-in-1 Juicer

I never used to see much sense in buying a juicer. I come from the old school method of rolling the fruit on the counter, cutting it in half and squeezing it to get the juice out. Then I developed hand issues which resulted in not being able to do some things as well as I used to. I bought this juicer for my limes and lemons and have never regretted it. All I do now is cut the fruit in half, place it inside the juicer, squeeze the handles together and I have juice. Yes, I still have to squeeze, but the handles are made having just the right length to give great leverage with little effort on my part. The holes in the juicer are just the right size to allow the juice to flow from the squeezer into your container without getting a lot of pulp in the juice. I like the fact also that this juicer is made of metal and is heavy but not too heavy and comes in two different colors. I use the yellow color for my lemons and the green color for my limes. I have used this juicer a LOT and it has held up very well.

Useful and efficient kitchen gadget

5

The Bottom Line: This Amco 8-Inch Two-in-One Lemon Juicer/Squeezer is a gadget I use all the time for cooking and drink making. It is efficient and gets the juice you need in a pinch, has a sturdy structure, and is the easiest tool to clean. An all around winner and a must-have in my kitchen. Pulp Setting Effectiveness This squeezer gets the juice out without giving you any of the pulp or seeds. Stability While in Use The design of the handle makes it quite easy and comfortable to hold while pushing down, and it feels quite sturdy and strong. The material seems to me to be aluminium because it feels really solid yet quite light. Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean, I usually just rinse it after use and let it air dry. Durability I have had this tool for about three years and so far, it still performs as well as when we first got it. So far so good. Versatility/Number of Features Thanks to its dual-sided center plate that adjusts for different citrus fruits. I have even used it for smaller oranges. I have also taken it with us on camping trips to make lemonade and margaritas, and this little gadget proved to be super convenient for drink making while outside the home. Design Sometimes simple is better, and this tool gets it right. I love that you can use it for more than just one type of citrus . If you do not have room for a more expensive lemon squeezer, this is a great (and small!) tool.

Essential Tool

I had originally purchased a plastic juicer for lemons and limes. The handle snapped right off after just a few uses. I tried the Amco 2-in-1 Juicer and have been so satisfied. It is made of solid materials with durable construction. I primarily use it for lemons and limes that I add to my water. Occasionally, I use it for oranges when I want freshly squeezed juice or am making an orange cranberry bread. The Amco Juicer takes all of the hassle and mess out of juicing. It is so simple to use. Just cut the lemon, lime, or orange in half, place it face down in the juicer and squeeze. Be sure to squeeze slowly or you will lose juice out of the sides. I always turn it upside down and right side up while juicing to make sure that I don't waste any juice. Cleanup is so easy. I do recommend at least rinsing it immediately after usage, however. Citrus juices will stick to the material if you don't clean it quickly. But it is really easy to clean when done pretty soon after you juice. Design Comfortable
