If you'd like a reliable refrigerators that is going to last, do NOT, I repeat do NOT purchase the Amana Refrigerator/freezer.  We only owned this refrigerator/freezer for three short years when the compressor went out.  When I tried to call customer service, they told me that I could call the manufacturer, but that the refrigerator was no longer under warranty.  My husband had called at the around the same time also,but he called the Maytag repair service.  Maytag told him that we'd have to purchase another compressor.  We were discussing what in the world we were going to do, when I decided...
