Amana Bottom Freezer w/Easy Fill AFD2535FES Review

First, the refrigerator is stunning in apperance.  It has clean lines, and the lack of an in door water/ice dispensor adds a high quality appearance.  This also allows for more storage space on the interior, which is huge.  The doors provide room for 4 gallons of milk (if you squeeze them in).  The shelving is well positioned and provides a ton of storage space.  The crisper drawers are very spacious.  The slide out deli tray is great and allows for separate temperature control.  On the left hand side of the interior, there is the easy fill water system.  It works great and provides clean, cold filtered water.  I don't have a need to use ice because it is plenty cold.  You do have to make sure to catch the one drip once you release the button, but otherwise we have not experienced any leaking.  One other plus is that it is out of reach for smaller children.

The temperature controls are at the top (out of reach of little children) and provide a simple digital read out of a number (1-9 I believe).  We found the recommended setting of 4 to provide cold food and frozen food in the freezer.

The freezer slides out nicely, though it could be a little smoother.  It is heavy enough to be difficult for children to slide it out.  There is good storage in the drawers.  The ice maker makes nice clean ice, and we can't complain about the rate.  It seems to make a load every few hours.  The drawers are baskets, so there is a potential to have dificulty cleaning should something spill, but the baskets seem to pull out farely easily.

The build seems sturdy, and I wouldn't be afraid to put two gallons of milk in each door, if only they would fit.  Fingerprints are an issue, but that comes with the stainless territory.

Overall, we are very impressed with the quality and look of our new fridge, and would recommend the easy fill for any one with children who do not want to deal with them constantly pushing buttons, and making a mess with melted ice cubes and spilled water.
