Amana Air Conditioner AACW126V Wall Unit Review

We currently own a 1000 sq ft. condo and had a difficult time finding a thru-the wall air conditioner that wasn't too expensive and that would cool the living room and kitchen. We finally found this air conditioner (Amana AACW126V) and it was about $450.00. Others we looked at were close to $600.00. This air conditioner works well and cools the living room and kitchen (about 500 sq ft) quickly. It is however a little noisy. There are 3 speeds and a dehumidifier setting that is great for those days where it is not too hot but the air is stale. I would recommend this air conditioner to friends and family due to it's reasonable price and ability to cool a good size area in a short amount of time. The air conditioner comes with a 1 year manufactures warranty, has 12,000 BTU, 230V, 9.0EER. This is an energy star compliant product which helps with the electric bill. I have looked around and the only store that sells this air conditioner in my area is Bernies. Larger chain home improvement stores only sold the higher end models which are far more expensive and do the same thing.
