I have had this product for exactly 1 year now. I use it often. It does get clothes dry however, often time I have to let the clothes go a second time in order to get them completely dry.

We bought our dryer used and that was about 5 years ago. It is still going strong. I only dry things on low and medium so I'm not sure how the higher settings work but the lower settings are great. It also has a wrinkle release setting on it that I use when I forgot to take the clothes out after they are done. Load Capacity I have never tried drying anything more than some bed comforters and quilts in it (no sleeping bags) but it has been fine for everything I wanted to dry. Performance Great Dryer. I'm surprised it is still going. I have no idea how old it is since we bought it used but we are very happy with it. It does a good job drying clothes. It is a little noisy though. Ease of Use Really easy to use. Just put the clothes in and turn it on. The lint catcher is also in a very convenient place and easy to clean off. Durability I'm surprised it has lasted so long and very pleased. It could go another ten years. Design Good dryer. I wish there was a way to make it a little less noisy.

Recently we moved to a new part of the country and was without our appliances for a month. Having a kid at home means there is at least one load of laundry to be dealt with every couple of days. So, I was really nervous about using a community laundry facility, especially since all their gadgets were from Amana, a brand which I was completely unfamiliar with up until that point. I was pleasantly surprised at the load capacity of this Amana dryer, the length of time designated to each kind of dry cycle, the options available for drying clothes at different settings, from heavy duty bedding to delicate items and overall performance of the dryer. Pretty much everything I subjected the Amana dryer to, the machine delivered with flying colors. The only clothing item that came out of the dryer a little damp was the pocket liners of thick denim trousers. Moreover, the clothes looked and smelled fresh too. I would recommend this dryer to anybody looking for a reasonably priced one that performs to satisfaction.

Well built & functioning dryer. Gets the job done! Load Capacity The dryer holds a large size load of laundry & gets them dry in a very reasonable amount of time. Performance Laundry is always dry on the first try when the lint trap is kept empty. Ease of Use Easy to use. Put the clothes in, adjust the setting, turn it on. Done. Durability There are no performance issues. This product works well. Design The only complaint I have is about the lint collector. It's at such an angle, you have to put some force into putting it back in place.

Amana 6.5 cu. ft. Traditional Gas Dryer with Automatic Dryness Control NGD4600YQ is a very good dryer for a lower priced dryer. The door isn't as solid as with other dryers I have owned but the price was also very reasonable. The dryer seems to be well made and it does do a good job of drying clothes. We have this dryer at work to do shop rags so we didn't want to spend a lot on it. It gets ran maybe 3-5 times a week and it has lasted pretty well. It doesn't dry the fastest but since we are not under a time crunch to get these done, it does the job okay. I don't use the wrinkle prevention mode or the energy saving mode because for what I use it for, they are not necessary. This dryer is a little smaller than I wish it was so consequently I probably have to do an extra load a week. Overall this dryer is okay, it gets the job done. I also wish that it had a light in the door because the shop is dark at times and it is hard to see if I have everything out.

Fairly quiet, efficient electric clothes dryer with a nice large capacity. Reasonably priced making it affordable for everyone. Improved design compared to older clothes dryers. Load Capacity Large enough for queen size bedding, comfortor or two bed pillows...not sure if a king size comforter would dry properly in this size dryer although it would fit through the door and into the dryer drum. Performance The automatic drying cyclesusually meets my dryness standards. Occasionally the load will need to be rebalanced or the drying time extended a bit to thoroughly dry all items. Timed drying works perfectly, but the manufacturer states that the automatic cycles are more energy efficient. Ease of Use The large rectangular door which opens to the side makes it easy to load items, but when opening the door an item or two will occasionally fall out of that large door opening. Durability Used almost one year now with about 5 loads per week and the dryer is still like new. Only a couple of small, light, scuff marks on the top of dryer where items are constantly set. Dryer runs as efficiently and quietly as when brand new. Design Better design than my older dryer, but an item or two will occasionally fall out of the nice large door when we open it to remove dry items. Because the door opens to the side instead of down, it is easier to fold items on top of the dryer.

This machine does not dry your clothes in one cycle. I often have to run more than one cycle to get clothes completely dry; especially on the automatic or energy saver cycles. I would not recommend this machine. The fact that you have to run more than one cycle defeats any energy saving qualities it may have.

Definitely deserves a perfect score of 10! This Amana dryer has all the features you could possibly want in a dryer. Great design, plenty of room inside, clothes come out fresh and virtually wrinkle free. A great dryer, at a great price! Load Capacity The load capacity in my opinion is the best feature. I just love it! With a normal size load of wash, I have plenty of room in the dryer. My clothes all come out dry and near wrinkle free! In addition, there is so much room it looks like a threw my clothes into a cave! Meaning after loading it with clothes, there is more than ample room left over so clothes aren't all packed in. Performance Fabulous! It is very quiet and clothes come out fresh and dry....the first time! Ease of Use Very easy to use. A 5 year old could figure it out! It has just the right amount of settings to choose from. Durability So far so good. I don't anticipate any problems. Amana is a name of quality. I expect to have this dryer for years to come! Design Design is neat, clean looking and modern.
