Always Slender Ultra Thin With Flexi-Wings Pads Review

Of the different products that you find and grow attached to, feminine hygiene products rank right up there. I have been using the same pads for years, Kotex Ultra Thin. I just prefer them and don't like the others that I find. Yet, I find them less and less these days, so I think they may be phasing them out, that is the ones without wings.  Pads with wings just never seem to fit right, but more and more it seems the options at the stores are with wings, rather than without. I finally bit the bullet and started trying some different brands with wings, to see if I could find something I liked and that fit well. I have found Always Slender Ultra Thin With Flexi-Wings Pads, but I think what I like most is the the Slender feature, and not the rest of it necessarily.

My thing against Always pads has always just been the wings. They just never seemed to fit me right to be comfortable and keep what needs to be contained ... contained. I saw these on the shelf at the store, and thought maybe it would be a happy medium. I'm a smaller person, so maybe what I needed was Slender. Additionally, my 13-year-old daughter is now using pads as well, and she is having a heck of a time getting everything situated just right so that it doesn't leak all over the place. I think part of it is ill-fitting pads, and the other part is a learning process.

These Always pads come wrapped in one of those wrappers you can also use to dispose of your old one. There's just one tab to peel off the backing of the flexi-wings, and after that you're ready to use it. I find the slender feature to be very helpful in making the pads fit a lot better; however, the wings still don't fit right, flexi or not. There should be more of an hourglass type curve to them instead. While the pads do have that, it's not enough for me. The slender feature helps my daughter as well, but she still struggles to get everything placed right.

With the slender feature, I know we're on the right track to finding the right fit, but now I need something that cuts in for that hourglass shape earlier or deeper. These are definitely "doable", but I still find myself wishing I had my Kotex Ultra Thins, and if I could find those in Slender, then I think it would be the ultimate pad.
