A flashback to childhood: my sisters and I were the chipmunks.

Alvin and the Chipmunks are back! After several decades of hiding, the chipmunks made a comeback with a movie including real people. I was concerned about how well the movie would do with the way kids are these days. We used to love Alvin and the Chipmunks when we were little. In fact, my sisters and I used to pretend we were them (you guess which one I was!) when we were kids. we all resembled one or the other pretty closely and we liked to sing together. Now kids are used to seeing more entertainment, more violence, wilder plots and more mature content. I wondered if Alvin and the Chipmunks would fly with them.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The movie did well at the box office. I recently took my two boys and three nieces to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and every one of them enjoyed it. Who am I kidding? I liked it too!

Whether you want to relive your childhood days of watching them on TV or you want to expose your kids to a good family movie, I recommend watching Alvin and the Chipmunks.
