Enjoyable for kids and adults of all ages

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. The story line was easy to follow for kids and, although predictable, it did have some depth. Jason Lee did a good job as Dave, his temperament was right and he seemed very comfortable in the role. The chipmunks were great, voices were close enough to the original without being too annoying for adults. I also liked the fact that there were some morals in the story (listen to your parents, too much of a good thing can be bad for you, and family sticks together no matter what.) My 3 year old was glued to the screen for the first hour, but got restless after that, this movie would probably be best for 4 and 5 year old's in the theater, but 3 and up when it comes out on video. If they made a part 2, I would go and see it.
