Alvin and the Chipmunks Review

Needless to say, I loved the Chipmunk's cartoon and was awaiting the DVD release of the movie. I wouldn't say it was disappointing, as movies these days aren't what they used to be anyway.

I watched Alvin & the Chipmunk's with my 23 month old, of course she didn't stick it out for the whole movie, which was fine by me. It was cleaner than I thought it would be, but I think Jason Lee was a bit 'corny' as Dave. I appreciated the director's commentary explaining how the original cartoon came about and how they tried to maintain the Chipmunks in their originality as much as possible.

Otherwise, I don't have much to complain about. I think this movie was a wholesome blast from the past that we all wanted.
