Alvin and the Chipmunks Review

This is such a great movie for the entire family. I took a group (about 75) of families from our local National Guard Unit for Christmas. I am not sure who enjoyed this movie more, me a 50 year old grandmother, or the children. I am a hugh fan of the original cartoon of Alvin and the Chipmunks. What can I say, it was one of my favorites. This movie definitely kept us laughing throughout the entire film. I believe that Dave is even better as a real person, and the animation of the chipmunks was awesome. We could really relate to Dave with everything these little fellows were doing. My youngest daughter is 16, and very picky about the movies that she watches. She had gone the day before our group and watched it with her highschool group--her and two of her friends that sat together (Alvin, Theodore, and Simon)--they definitely portrayed each other. And she even enjoyed it again the second time.

This is a definitely a recommended movie for everybody, especially for the fans of the original cartoon.
