I never really developed a gum-chewing habit. Having worn braces on my teeth during my teens, I guess I just never had an opportunity to chew the stuff. Jump ahead to my adulthood and a bit of a breath problem caused by chronic sinus infections. Someone suggested I start shewing gum during the day. It seemed like a bad idea - sort of like rubbing sugar on one's teeth. My partner introduced me to Altoid's sugar-free gum, and now i love the stuff. I almost always have a tin of it in one of my pockets, and it really comes in handy when I know my breath is far from fresh, but I'm not in a position to brush my teeth. Being sugar-free it's not overly sweet (in fact, it's "curiously strong", just like Altoid's mints) , and I don't worry about it causing tooth decay. There's really not a lot not tolike about this, although I do feel a little bad about the fact that the beautiful packaging seems like such a waste. I know the tins are recyclable, but I also know alot of people don't recycle. I know...that probably sounds like a stupid complaint about this product, but I bet the tins that don't get recycled take up a lot of space in landfills.
The moral of the story: Chew Altoid gum, and make sure you recycle the tin!
