My hair stylist recommended this product for me because of all the damage I do to it, between coloring it, straightening it, ironing it, and so on.  So  my first reaction was something along the lines of: "anti-aging?!? But I'm only in my 20s!".  Despite my outburst, I tried it anyway and I just completely fell in love with this product.  Not only does it leave your hair silky smooth, but it makes it much stronger.  The ends don't split as often, there is less frizz and it is actually much easier to style.  It also smells reeeeeeaaaaaaaally good!!!!  There is two issues for me though: 1. it is pretty expensive for a product that comes in a small package and 2. you can't find it in any store. I have to either get it from the hair salon or certain beauty supply stores (and even then, there is no gaurantee that they will have it). Even though I have some problems buying the product, I can't even imagine going back to my old conditioner!

I've been buying this glamourous high- end shampoo for almost three years now! My hair dresser turned me on to the Alterna brand around six years ago at his salon. I became hooked on the Alterna hemp hair straightening glaze which left my already straight black hair even straighter and shiny! I received a lot of compliments from everyone from the DMV to male friends. I loved the product so much I decided to go all the way and buy the Alterna Caviar Seasilk Shampoo and Conditioner and it met my high expectations. It's rich so you don't need to use a large amount. It lathers nicely and at it's rich and well worth-it price I lather it thouroughly and leave it in my hair for a longer time before conditioning it. It has a nice fragrance too. I can't use cheap shampoo anymore! You know that cheap strong cheap smelling piney/fake floral scent that stinks and dries and pulls out all your wet hair. A little goes a long way!

The Alterna brand is one many people may not have heard of. I know of only one salon in my town that carries it, but they also use this brand for their in salon shampoo and conditioner, which is how I became familiar with it. I immediately loved it after the stylist used it to wash my hair, and bought some that exact day. The shampoo and conditioner has a very fresh scent, definitely pleasing, but also not at all overwhelming or too strong. The shampoo lathers well and rinses out cleanly. Hair immediately feels cleaner. The shampoo leaves no oily residue, and nor does it leave hair feeling stripped or overly dry. The conditioner is great at detangling hair. I would recommend leaving it in your hair for a few minutes for it to be fully absorbed. It rinses out well and leaves hair very soft and silky with no tangles. My only complaint would be the shape of the bottle and the way the product is dispensed. It seems very hard to completely use of the product and you end up throwing some away at the end.

I HAVE BEEN USING ALTERNA PRODUCTS FOR ABOUT TWELVE YEARS NOW.....AND I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!  THE SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS ARE AMAZING!  I HAVE NATURALLY CURLY THICK HAIR, AND THIS PRODUCT ALWAYS LEAVES IT SOFT HEALTHY  SHINY AND SMELLING FRESH AND FABULOUS.  IT IS WELL WORTH THE COST!!!

My mother works at a hair salon and she gave me a sample of this conditioner. At first when I read Caviar on the label I was a little put off because I was a little disgusted but after trying it one time I was amazed at what a big difference this conditioner was able to make after just one use! My hair looked less dull, healthier, and it was silky smooth! I used it with the Shampoo that came with it which is also great. I am a heavy user of hot tools so my hair is pretty damaged and you can't really tell by looking at it, other than a little frizz but when you touch it it feels completely dry and lifeless. After using this conditioner the look of my hair was drastically improved there was no frizz at all and it had much more life! The conditioner also seemed to reverse ALL the damage I have done to my hair over the years. This is definitely one of the best conditioners I have ever used and I would reccomend it to anyone looking to get their hair looking healthier and more vibrant. While this product is a little pricier than other conditioners it is definitely a better quality product and is well worth the money. Plus with the quality of this product the amount I used was much less than that of a lesser quality conditioner.

I've used many different hair conditioners.  Just like eye creams and mascaras, I'm always looking for the best conditioner for my hair.  I've always heard good things about Alterna haircare products and they have good ingredients in them so I was excited when I received a sample of both the caviar shampoo and conditioner.  I was disppointed.  My samples were large enough that I was able to use it for over a week and I saw no difference in my hair.  It wasn't any shinier or softer.  Maybe if it's used for over a longer period of time, I would notice an improvement in my hair, but for the price I don't think I'm going to chance it.
