Altec Lansing - Altec Lansing BackBeat Classic UHP106 —

As the features, Altec Lansing provides three sets of extra silicon tips with the buds. The headphone wire of the set is about 46 inches long and is covered with cloth mesh and not with the traditional rubber or plastic. You will find the material of the wire to be extremely tangle resistant and rugged. The headphones lack any built-in mic to be used with your cell phones.

As far as the sound quality is concerned, what can be expected out of a $20 headphone? The 106 model produces good enough sound for $20. Do not expect to be blown away by the sound. The sound is just good to do. The bass of the earphones is good but is less as compared to that offered by the 206 and 326. At the highest volume, the sound does distort a bit.

If you are on an extremely tight budget, yet you want a pair of earphones that will give you good performance, be sure to be impressed by the $20 BackBeat classic 106. For those of you who do not like the shipped earphones in the Apple iPod package, the Altec Lansing BackBeat 106s are a good upgrade.
