Altec Lansing - AVS300 Reviews

This particular model of Altec-Lansing computer speakers probably isn't made anymore.  I've had them for a number of years & models change.  However - the name to remember is Altec-Lansing.  I found these speakers years ago at Sam's Club.  They were inexpensive (under $40 I think) and definitely a step up from the O.E. speakers from Gateway.

Like most things, they have both good & bad points.  The good: Booming sound, especially the bass from such a small size.  The bad: Only one control for bass & treble instead of separate controls.  The good: Small size...the two smaller satellite speakers...

I have had these Altec Lansing speakers for a couple of years now and they are still holding up strong and I've got no complaints whatsoever. They are a good, decent quality product at a truly reasonable price. I have to say they produce a truly excellent sound. I would have to say that their sound quality is quite comparable to many larger and more expensive speakers that I've used. The subwoofer that comes with the set is really exceptional. The set look sgood and doesn't take up a ton of space on your desktop.
