Not a fan at all

I decided to try this and it was a huge waste of money. It didn't blend right and it made my skin look oily and just not good.

Not for me

This foundation was nothing but a disappointment for me. I am always looking for new products in my makeup routine. I have larger pores and foundation is a very important part of my makeup routine. I found that this product did not help at all with trying to conceal my pores, but actually made them look worse. This product went on smooth, but actually dried out very quickly and settled into my pores making them even more noticeable. I have used many Almay products in the past and was very disappointed with this product. I read many review on this and it does seem to work well for people with normal sized pores, but I would not recommend this product for people looking to hide larger pores. I want my skin to look almost flawless with a good foundation, but this was not the one. I would not recommend this product if you have dry skin also, as this product seems to settle into dry skin areas and make your face look terrible.

Every girl is looking for that make up that gives her the flawless coverage it advertises in its commercial. A make up that puts an end to all the trial and error involved in the search for flawless skin coverage. This is NOT that make up. My biggest issue with this liquid make up is the fact that it dries out my skin. I have to apply a very good moisturizer very generously to my face before I apply this make up. If I don't, it leaves me with dry, patchy skin. For this reason, I haven't been using it as a liquid foundation but rather for spot coverage. Instead of applying it all over my face, I simply apply it to the areas I REALLY need coverage, blend it in and then use a powder over it. Its ability to hide blemishes is actually quite good. It has been working pretty well for me for the past 3 months. Another issue I have with this make-up is the fact that Almay's Truly Lasting Coverage is not really truly lasting. It very easily rubs off on anything it comes into contact with. I cannot tell you how many of my fiance's shirts I have ruined and nothing is worse than hugging someone only to leave a brown imprint of your cheek on their shoulder. For this reason, I am very careful how I interact with people. Also, be very careful if you scratch an itch as it very easily clumps up under your fingernails and on your face. I thought it was because I apply to much so I cut down on the amount I put on my face but it made no difference. Its only redeeming quality is its price. For the quality of coverage it delivers, it is actually quite well priced but really the only reason I am still using this make up is because I have not found a better one. So the search for coverage perfection continues.

Almay TLC works for me

5

I have used several long lasting foundations including Revlon ColorStay and Rimmel Lasting Finish. Rimmel Lasting Finish is a great foundation, in my opinion, but in flash pictures it looks ghostly, and they do not have many fair foundation shades. My skin is fair and neutral. For Almay TLC, I mix the two lightest shades together. One is yellow toned and the other is pink toned. Mixed together the match is pretty good. There is less coverage than something like ColorStay- but it is totally buildable and looks more natural. The lasting power is almost as good as ColorStay. I have very oily skin and this stuff still looks okay by the end of the day- if I am going out in the evening I do touch up with powder, though. It is hard to remove (which is kind of the point) so I rub coconut oil on my face before using a cleanser so I can loosen it up. The biggest con for this is that it is hard to get off my make up brushes.

I have tried all kinds of foundation most do not work really well. This one I originally got because it has SPF in it. But it works really great. The color blends really well with your skin tone. It comes in a liquid so the easiest way to apply it without getting your hands all messy is a sponge but that means you have to buy them, the good news is they come in large packs and they are cheap. It spreads on really smooth and gives great coverage. Sometimes it does streak a little especially on the jaw line so its key to blend it in a little extra in some places sometimes. The super perk of this one is how long it lasts. It says 16 hours and it means it. I have put it on 6 in the morning and taken it off at midnight and the scrub pads I used are covered with foundation, which is great because that means it lasted all day through eating, touching, and sweating. I don't know about you but I like to look just as good at the end of the day as when I began it. Overall this has to be the best foundation I have used yet.

I'm satisified with Almay TLC!

Hello there. I am going to let you know what I think about Almay's TLC (truly lasting color) 16 hour makeup. This makeup is supposedly skin nourishing and meant for longwear. The bottle also says that this product contains SPF 15. A chose the naked 03 shade, **160**. I'll mention both the positives and the negatives I discovered while using this product: POSITIVES! 1. Almay TLC cctually helped cover my acne spots! I usually have to cake on any makeup that can and will stick on my face, being able to cover the numerous dark acne scars and spots that I am trying to hide. Usually I give up when it comes to using makeup for this purpose, but this makeup helps me to my satisfaction. It's not too transparent to hide dark spots and yet not too thick to where it's obvious that I'm wearing makeup when I have it on. 2. The particular shade that I chose works well with my skin tone which is a plus. Hopefully you too can discover the right shade! 3. I don't normally choose to use makeup, but if it helps at least a little I go ahead and use it. This is one of those types of makeups. 4. Really does seem to last long enough for me throughout the day and is small enough to pack in my purse in case more is needed. 5. Did seem somewhat nourishing to my skin. NEGATIVES... 1. It's a little sticky and clings and remains on your fingers for some time after application to face. 2. The way the bottle works allow the lid and nozzle area to get rather messy. If you don't mind a little bit of a mess things should be fine. So, over all, I like this product because it works well enough for me. There are probably certain products out there that could work much better and maybe this makeup is not right for you, but if you decide to try it out I hope it works well for you! Thanks for reading my opinion on this product!

Pump action is great - delivers a good amount of makeup

I have very sensitive skin and have been a faithful Almay user for about 20 years. The Almay tlc Truly Lasting Color Makeup was a recent purchase for me as I wanted a liquid makeup that could be delivered by pump action and this fit the bill perfectly. It gives great coverage, hydrates my face all day and makes my skin feel velvety and smooth while it is on.

A satisfied customer

I tried this after striking out with Revlon Photo Finish and Covergirl simply ageless foundations.  I was pleased to say that I was able to match my asian skin tone perfectly (sand beige).  The coverage is great!  Medium and not too heavy.  Long-lasting, but still allows the skin to "breathe."  I will def be purchasing again!  An added bonus is the nice pump top.

I tried Almay TLC foundation after having used Revlon Colorstay, which I really liked but was afraid that it was aggravating my acne.  I am not sure if the Almay might not be doing the same thing - isn't it always hard to tell what is causing breakouts?  The Almay foundation does seem to stay put pretty well, except if you happen to scratch your face the makeup will cake up into a little spot.  I have to be conscious if I scratch an itch on my face that I smudge the spot with my finger to keep from having a spot.  It also comes off on things like Kleenexes, so not as "colorstay" as I'd hoped.  I am not completely impressed with the coverage.  Since I have acne I tend toward products with a little heavier coverage, but given that this is Almay and their products are normally very light/translucent, I am not really all that surprised. I think I will try a different foundation for my next purchase.  This one works well for someone who needs light coverage and doesn't worry about smudging.
