I got this mascara in black, it is thickening and I like the look of it on my lashes. It stays pretty well through out the day, without flaking which I something I hate. It added nice volume to my lashes and some length too. The only reason I didn't give this product the best rating, is that when I go to take it off, it often leaves a bit of a black ring around my eyes that is difficult to remove. I know i could use an eye makeup remover each night, but that's not really part of my daily routine.

I have tried many mascaras and really have liked the Almay One Coat line. I feel it has great coverage and adds fullness to my eye lashes that other mascaras who have promised the same did not. It is more durable than the non-water proof variety but I do find that the water proof version seems to smear some. This is not a big deal if you aren't rubbing or sweating (i.e working out) but otherwise I have no complaints. This mascara does not irritate my skin and is easily removed with eye make up remover. The color variety is similar to other mascaras, I personally love Almay's black/brown varieties. The price is comparable to the other drug store brands. I think Almay is a reliable brand that typically delivers it's promises.

I've been using Almay Thickening Waterproof mascara for 10 years now and I have yet to find another mascara I like better!  Like all waterproof mascaras I've tried that still leave your lashes feeling natural, it does end up smudging some when wet or humid, or over long periods of time, but Almay's waterproof formula smudges much less so than a regular mascara.  This particular mascara is so nice and thickening:  lashes look great with just one quick sweep of the wand.  The less time I have to spend making myself look good the better! It's safe to use with contacts, it's a great price and it lasts a long time.  I've gotten so many compliments on my eyelashes and I always direct people to this mascara.  I wore it on my wedding day, and that's the ultimate test!  It worked beautifully, even though my tears.  I will definitely continue to use Almay's Thickening Waterproof mascara.  It's my one-step tool to beauty!

Almay is the only brand of mascara I will purchase ever!  It does not hurt my eyes, and it makes my eye lashes look amazing!  I have long eyelashes anyways, but almay one coat thickening mascara makes them look even longer and thicker!

I'm not into heavy makeup application for everyday, but mascara and eye liner are the two essentials I cannot live without! I've tried many different brands and types of mascara and this is by far my favorite. The thickening brand of mascara by almay leaves eyelashes looking fuller and somewhat longer. The waterproof portion of hte mascara is also very effective. I am a big crier when it comes to everything and this mascara is the only one that has stood up to my tear tests. It is, however, fairly easy to remove without makeup remover. I'm not a fan of the oily consistency that makeup remover leaves on my skin so this mascara is the perfect compromise between waterproof and easy removal for me. For the plain Jane types of makeup users, this is a wonderful product to use! For more dramatic looks, Almay provides different types of mascara that are still waterproof but they focus in on lengthening lashes rather than thickening. Almay is worth every penny!

I have tried to use the whole like of Almay mascaras.  They go on good if not somewhat thin, but within a few hours I am wiping the underside of my eyes.  Also, they have a tendency to clump after the first couple of uses.  I don't truly know how they could improve them and still be hypo allergenic.
