I honestly don't think I have ever used a mascara better than this one, pricey yes, very pricey! but is it worth it! oh yes! very much so! Makes my eyes look amazing! I also love the sleek design of it! easy to apply, quick which is what I need with being a mother of two, a stay at home mother of two at that! Ease of Application I love how easy it is to put on!

I didn't care for this mascara. The mascara, itself, was ok but the applicator was a straight line that was very "bendy". I had to dial it to the highest setting to try to get it to even apply. I ended up using the wand from a different mascara just so that I could try to use the product without taking 10 minutes to put on my mascara. Will never buy again.

I purchased this mascara awhile ago in the shade black-brown. At first, I wasn't too impressed because it can be tricky getting the dial-up bottle to stay on the setting you want it as you twist it open and apply the mascara. Over time, this has proven to be a very minor inconvenience. The function of the dial-up bottle is to set the level of coverage and volume you want to apply to your lashes. Level one having the least and level 3 having the most. The first time I tried it, I used level 3 because I like my lashes to be volumnous. I thought they turned out kind of spidery-looking (lashes sticking together, etc) so I don't usually use that setting. It could also have been because it was a brand new bottle. But that is the point of this mascara- to have options and use a setting you like. I usually use setting 1 or 2 and find they work fantastic. Wonderful, even coverage and almost NO flaking halfway through the day like most mascaras do for me. This mascara works great to coat every lash and I really enjoy using it. Cons: Keeping the dial up bottle at the setting you want can be tricky, Level 3 can be too much mascara Pros: Great coverage, no flaking, a choice of how you want to apply the mascara, and it's easy to wash off. UPDATE: I have been using this mascara on setting 3 (heaviest coverage) just to try it out again because my bottle is no longer new. I do not get the "spidery" look to my lashes with setting 3 anymore. Just heavier mascara (not too heavy) and I actually like it. I love this mascara! The different levels work great and this mascara still does not flake or smudge throughout the day. I will buy this mascara again!

I've tried tons of mascaras, some good, some horrible, but I'm happy to report that **Almay One Coat Dialup Mascara** is one of the winners. I bought this on a whim (and because I had a coupon) last month and really like the results and relatively low price. I remember dial mascaras from years ago that worked OK but I didn't see much difference between the lowest setting and the highest, but Almay got it right with only three settings.  The mascara can be dialed to one which is the lightest setting to three which is the thickest and it really works.  There's some sort of thing on the inside that turns and controls how much mascara is left on the wand when it's pulled out of the tube and then applied to your lashes.  It has a nice wide opening as well which is nice as I have a tendency to poke mascara wands back into the tube too quickly and end up with mascara all over my hand.  That doesn't happen with this product. For days when I do a light makeup application I'll use setting one, maybe two. For those days when I want my eyes to be a bit more defined I'll set it to three.  Three is not super thick, but gives the look of two coats without actually having to apply two coats. One minor complaint about this mascara: The dial is near the top of the tube so when I unscrew the wand from the tube, it changes the setting so the design needs some improvement.

This is best mascara so far. I've used it for about 3 weeks and I love the result. You can adjust the volume with the dial which is a great feature. I used a dial up by maybelline back in the 80's and I loved it. For some reason they stopped making it. It's nice to have this back but in Almay. I have very sensitive eyes and Almay works best.
