I tried this eyeliner in brown topaz because of a recommendation. She recommended brown topaz, so that's what I got even though I have brown eyes and Almay recommended purple to play up my eyes. The liner dried fast and came out beautifully, but I found it hard to apply. You had to keep dipping it into the liner, and if you got too much, it left large amounts behind. It is most definetely not waterproof. It runs at just a little water, and it isn't smudgeproof. That is my biggest complaint.
Overall, it is a nice eyeliner for everyday use. Not to dramatic, but still kind of sparkly and pretty. I got many compliments on it, but I find myself resorting to my Clinique quickliner because it takes me about ten seconds to apply, and this liquid one takes me 10 minutes.

My friend has brown eyes and just yesterday we had a photo shoot at work to be on the back of our firm's calendar next year (for tenure). The makeup artist told her to wear bronze colors and plum colors to accentuate her pretty brown eyes.
