What an easy application. It looks great in one stroke. The color is rich and pearly black. With wear everyday I get between four to six months use out of every purchase. The cost is way less than what you might expect to pay for such a quality product. The only complaint I might have is that it does not stay on long enough.

I tried this eyeliner in brown topaz because of a recommendation. She recommended brown topaz, so that's what I got even though I have brown eyes and Almay recommended purple to play up my eyes. The liner dried fast and came out beautifully, but I found it hard to apply. You had to keep dipping it into the liner, and if you got too much, it left large amounts behind. It is most definetely not waterproof. It runs at just a little water, and it isn't smudgeproof. That is my biggest complaint. Overall, it is a nice eyeliner for everyday use. Not to dramatic, but still kind of sparkly and pretty. I got many compliments on it, but I find myself resorting to my Clinique quickliner because it takes me about ten seconds to apply, and this liquid one takes me 10 minutes.

I love this product!  It is easy to apply.  I have had several people ask me if I have tatooed eye liner.  It goes on with ease.  Almay eyeliner comes in many shades to bring out my mood and the look I want.  I have used many brands and Almay does not irriatate my eyes like many others brands have.  If you like to play up your eyes you must try it!

She gave me an eye shadow and then, when I saw come cool new eyeliner she had, she gave me that too! Gotta love makeup junkies who share! This liner is intense and actually quite good!***About Almay Intense I Play Up Liquid Liner in Black Pearl*** This eyeliner is supposed to be color coordinated to make your eyes pop. The color for brown eyes is actually Amethyst but neither my sister nor I would wear purple eyeliner so the black won even though it is supposed to be for hazel eyes. Whatever. This eyeliner comes in a little triangular pot with a long slim top that is the color of the liner. The applicator is a very thin felt tip. This liner is intense as it says. It is deep and easy to apply because the very pointy applicator is very much like a pencil tip. The liner dries almost immediately and will not smudge no matter what you do. I tried it first on my hand then my eyes and this stuff doesn't fade, run, smear, or budge. It doesn't say it is waterproof but I wouldn't worry about a little rain or sweat making this run. It's very long wearing. I don't wear eyeliner on my top lids, just on the bottom, and this looked fine. I am not too picky about eyeliner. As long as it goes on and stays on, I am happy. This does. I'm happy. ***My Viewpoint*** This eyeliner is intense and deep and will not smudge so, if you want that smoky eye look, this won't work. It comes in four shades to coordinate with your eye color but, as I said, you won't see me wearing purple eyeliner in this lifetime. Black is fine. This is hearty eyeliner that lasts all day and night. My heavily eyelined sister says it lasts on her top and bottom lids until she takes it off. It seems to work that way for me too. Good, but very intense. ***4 stars.***

The most important aspect when buying liquid liners tends to be the container, the handle. It's the main factor in how easily it is to apply. The handle for this product is just right. It's long so you have a nice grip, like on a pencil, and the stem with the liquid is short so you have good control. I sometimes use this handle in some of my other liners because I like it so much. The applicator tip for this is a bit thick and stubby, especially compared to other ones like NYX's. Because of the tip size, it is difficult to get a thin line, so if that's what you're after, you should probably try something else or use your own brush. The liquid itself dries quickly and is easy to wash off. There is a funny thing about it: if you rub over it, it becomes shimmery. There is only .08 fl oz of product, which isn't much compared to some of my other ones (like the NYX I mentioned earlier has .25 fl oz).

I love Almay's liquid liner cause it goes on so easily.  I like that it is controlable. You can make fine lines or thicker ones. I have fair skin and its hard to find a black eye liner that doesn't look  so strong. This works perfectly to give the right amount of black to fair skin. As oppossed to an eyeliner pencil of the same shade. I also like the hint of shimmer it has. It doesn't cake up but it also doesnt have a whole lot of stay power, especially in humidity. It kinda melts off. I also think its good for all skin types. I know this because of my sensitive skin. If your prone to breakouts this would be an okay make up to use. You get a lot of uses for such a tiny bottle. I would definitely recommend this eyeliner to a friend. Its a good value for the price you pay for it. I also like their other shades of liquid eyeliner as well. So the only real con of this product is it doesnt last a long time. You would have to reapply it.
