I generally don't use eye makeup remover because my facial cleanser takes off even stubborn makeup and I usually don't wear waterproof products. However, now and then, I will wear waterproof mascara and I need special eye make up remover to get it off. I bought Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads because they were inexpensive and easy to use. The plastic container holds 80 moist round cotton pads and all I have to do is swipe the pads over my eyes...

The MOISTURIZING formula is oil, plain and simple. To keep it from going IN your eyes, you need to close your eyelids normally.  When you squint hard, you are breaking the natural 'seal' that nature creates. Then, you do need to wipe your eyes with a washcloth, it's oil, it's going to get in your eyes if you don't remove it. 

That's why I use the OIL FREE version. It works just fine to remove my mascara. I have used it since it first came on the market, I buy it at CostCo in a 3 pack - BEST price.
