What I love about Allure Magazine is all the tips that they give you. This isn't just a beauty magazine, but it's a beauty guide with some good journalism in it too! Before the days of YouTube beauty tutorials or blogs, this magazine helped me learn how to do amazing makeup. It shows step by step pictures to help complete your look, which makes things so much easier. If you love makeup, I recommend this. However, it gets a 9/10 because you can find most of these tips online.

This is a good magazine to catch up on the new trends! Make-up is a huge thing in this magazine. I have learned though, that they dont exactly show you or give real instructions on how to do so. But they show a lot of great pictures. They feature a lot of the stars that i personally like on the cover. You must be a trendy person to like this magazine.

Allure is one magazine that I cannot wait to receive in the mail. Although it's a simple read, and you will hardly find anything of "substance", that is the reason why I read allure. If I want hard-hitting substance or something serious, I will turn on the news or read a book. Allure is fashion magazine and thus is meant to be fun. It is full of advice on the latest beauty, fashion and accessory trends and how to pull them off successfully. It is meant for women over 17 or 18 and unlike Vogue or Instyle, where every item featured is a brand most cannot afford, allure features mostly items that are affordable. For a fun read to keep you in the know with fashion, Allure is a great read!

This is my favorite magazine and I subscribe to at least a dozen! Many magazines seem to always push whatever products they are also running advertisements for, but not Allure. They present all of the cutting edge products and the science behind them. The articles are well-written, creative, and very different from the other magazines. I trust products recommended by Allure and their readers much more than those of other magazines. I literally take the magazine to the store with me to help me shop!

This is my favorite magazine and that is saying a lot because I subscribe to almost every fashion magazine there is. It has great pictures, wonderful tips, and is always up to date on the latest trends, findings, celebrities. I also think this magazibne is innovative. They were the first to introduce the "real person" series make-over/weight loss. I enjoy the articles on celebrities where they comment on old pictures of themselves. Cant wait for my next issue!

This magazine is great for beauty but not much for fashion. i am a fashion design major and you will not find much information on what fashions are in or out or how a certain style would look on you.But if your more of a beauty junkie then i would definitely recommend this to you. they have these great directories in every issue that tells you the best spas, salons, or boutiques in  your area. I enjoy reading their articles on the celebrity of the moment and this magazine has more substance than you would think.

I love this magazine. this is very inexpensive if you subscribe to it. The one thing i really lvoe about it is all the reviews that you can find on beauty products. i always find myself buried into this magazine and reading it over and over. plus if you do subscribe to it you can sometimes get lucky magazine as a bonus.

***Quick View:*** **Allure Magazine** is like a thick, slick advertisement for everything beauty and fashion. It is for real fashion and beauty addicts - like me. Just about every other page is an ad for something that we addicts just have to have. Still, it's a fun fluffy read and does keep women up on trends and the latest fashion, cosmetics, and skin care as well as has some articles that actually have a little bit of substance.***About Allure Magazine*** This magazine features beautiful celebs on the cover (Britney Spears, very heavily airbrushed and majorly thinned out, was recently on the cover but she ditched the interview. Typical). The focus is on the latest cosmetics, skin care, hair care and styles, beauty trends, fashion, and all that goes with those of us who just have to know what the readers chose as the best of the best beauty, skin, and hair care products and what shade of lipstick in the IN shade for the season. Really, there is very, very little substance to the magazine. It's chock full of ads that blend in seamlessly with the actual content and it's hard to tell which is which. But I just love to gaze at the stuff I can't afford and the stuff that some people think is style. Allure does take us to fashion shows where we get to see the craziest designs on the runways as well as exactly what makeup and hair products were used on the models. Fluffy? Oh, you bet! There are probably three columns that actually SAY anything. Most are just telling us what we have to have this season to keep up with the celebs and what the in look is. So why do I read this magazine? For one, it was just 10 bucks for a year (12 issues) and I really do like to see the newest cosmetics and newest fashion trends. However, I read it in the tub because, if I drop it in, I won't be missing much. It's just a leaf through magazine with a few minor articles that actually mean anything. I am really turned off at the Britney Spears issue because not only is she completely airbrushed and thinned out to look amazing but she stiffed the magazine four times for an interview yet the staff decided to talk her up rather than dis her for wasting their time. Typical Britney treatment that has lead her to where she is today. Still, I do enjoy looking at the new cosmetics and fashions and will continue leafing though the magazine. ***My Viewpoints*** **Allure Magazine** appeals to those who are really into cosmetics and trends. It doesn't dig deep or get heavy. It makes no apologizes for being a beauty magazine and it really has helped me to choose certain products based on the reader's picks. Still, I could easily live the rest of my life without looking at another issue and not miss it.** 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 stars**. A quick page turning mag for the trend obsessed.

I'm not sure any more how long Allure has been in publication....but it's been a while! I've been with them just about the entire time. I can count on Allure to give me up to date fashion and beauty advice and tell me of new products that I would otherwise never know about. I live in a small town where there is little shopping...my high end purchases are usually ordered from Sephora - after I read about them in Allure, of course. I love the contests Allure has every month. Hundreds of giveaways - I've actually won a few! There were a few issues some years ago that included several samples of eyeshadows and lipsticks..wish they'd start that up again. There is interesting reading in Allure as well. It's not rocket science but i don't think that's why we buy this magazine. Perfect reading for a day at the beach...you can have a glass of wine and still comprehend what you've read! Don't stop now Allure...I'm addicted! oh, subscription price is dirt cheap....$10.00 - $12.00!
