When shopping around for my first car insurance, I received the lowest price quote from Allstate. I had been continuously insured under my father's insurance for the 5 or 6 years prior to signing up for my own with Allstate. I pay less than $400 a year for my car insurance; this is more toward the basic end. The local customer service agent helped my father and I extensively, contacting us many times with more information and answers to our questsions. I highly recommend Allstate for car insurance.
