Allstate —

I have been an Allstate customer for over 10 years. I have always thought that because I was a loyal customer I would be getting a better rate than if I was to go to another company. This is the reason I have stayed so long. However, I recently realized that I have been getting taken advantage of from my Allstate agent. I have full coverage on all our cars. 3 out of 4 of our cars are now over 5 years old so the book value is significantly lower than when we bought them. I would think that because the value has went down, our premium should go down as well. This is not the case, Allstate has kept our rates the same or increased a bit each year. We have had no accidents or violations so there is no reason for this. Also, we are paying the same amount for insurance on our 3rd and 4th vehicles as we do our primary vehicles. This makes no sense to me as I can only drive one car at a time. I would think that the additional cars on our policy would be a nominal fee. I recently started looking for another agency and found that I will be saving hundres a year by going with any other company. It is sad that I spent 10 loyal years with Allstate only to be taken advantage of.
