Allstate Review

I have never been one to pay compliments to insurance companies, and in all honesty will remain reserved with good words towards them in the future. Time and circumstance put me in the position to finally need some help from Allstate. On this occasion Allstate gave my partner and I all we have been paying for and a bit more.

Its a very strange feeling to wake in the morning while traveling and look out your hotel window to see an empty spot where just a few hours ago you had parked your truck. Indeed, for me, it took a full 30 seconds for it to register and only after running outside did it fully sink in that our wonderful Toyota was gone.

After calling the Oklahoma Police and talking to an Officer Hill, we contacted Allstate. Our policy allows rentals in case of emergency, and this fit the bill. Within 30 minutes we had our temporary car. A very nice one I might add.  After makeing a few more calls, it seemed clear there was no reason to hang around. Although the Hotel did offer us a free night as well as not chargeing for the night we actually used. However we did pay for our night as we didnt feel it was the Hotels faught that our truck was stolen.

As luck would have it, it was not long until our truck was recovered, and after a few days was parked in the Allstate lot. Recovery doesnt often happen so even Allstate seemed surprized. Nevertheless they made sure the truck was running (thankfully it did not have any major damage to the body) and explained that other than some dashboard damage, appeared to be fine. Of course we are missing some personal items that I should have never left in the truck in the first place. Thats another story though. The whole crew from Allstate did their best for us. They seemed as happy as we where that the truck was actually whole. The last remaining repairs we will do here at home (in Pensacola). After two weeks our Toyota sits back under our car port where it belongs and I am thankful for the help from Allstate, as well as OK, Police department, and all the others who made this experience a little more bearable.

Sometimes insurance is a good thing, after this I will complain a lot less about it. At this point I have to say it....I am glad we were In good hands with Allstate.
