This stuff is a rip off!! I have been on a very low fat diet and work out 3 times a week. I followed the direction as stated and it has not helped at all. In the almost month i have been on it I have lost only 6 pounds. Every other diet I have been on I would have lost 6 pounds in a week. If anything its making it harder to lose the weight. On top of that now its coming out it my hurt your liver and cause colon cancer. This is just a scam by the drug company with some help from the government.

Alli is SIMPLE. When you eat extra or excess fat per meal, you will need to be close to the restroom. IF you are NOT an individual who can control your portion sizes your Alli will give you trouble. But for me, I enjoy seeing Alli work! (Otherwise that (extra) fat would STAY in my body.....GROSS!) {In other words, getting rid of the fat through uncomfortable but short bathroom experiences is NOT as gross as KEEPING the fat INSIDE my body}.

Hello All!

I have chosen to write a quick one about ALLI as I have been using this product almost on a daily basis since before it was FDA approved.

While I had never heard of this Orlistat as its proper name is ~ my doctor one day noticed I had lost a tremendous amount of weight. He ask me "how did you do it?"

I replyed to him I had been staying away from most Carbohydrates (at the time) and that as pretty much how I had lost near 80 pounds.

He was so happy he announced "now all you need to do is get rid of the fat" and that was when he wrote me a prescription for orlistat 120mg.

He told me to take one 3 times a day, with each meal that contained fat and again congratulated me on the tremendous weight loss.

I also was happy "thinking" NOW I can eat just about anything that I want!

Well, while that was not quite true as I quickly found out - you MUST still watch what you eat and count calories at the same time - while exercising, walking etc. of course.

Due to the expense of the drug...

I took Alli for about 4 months. I dropped from 227 lbs down to 171 lbs. It worked to help me loose the weight but it also worked by helping me realize what it was I didn't need to be eating. I knew when I ate something that was to high in fat and I have yet to forget what those things were because of the affects of the medication when I did eat something note worthy. I also used the online scource with the product and was impressed with the way it sent me daily emails to help me remember to do this or that and to weight in. The weightloss helped me feel better about myself, got my blood sugar and high blood pressure under control and also helped me to lower the amounts of some of my other medication. I did not have an issue with the affects because I made it a postive thing and looked at it as a way to learn what I should and shouldn't be eatting.

I believe that if someone is truly trying to loose weight and do so in away that will be long term and a learning experience as to how to...

I started taking this product about two years ago. When I first started taking it, I was eating a lot of fat in my diet. I had a lot of the side effect that the bottle says, the anal leakage. I was having a lot of "accidents" and I did not like having that kind of problem because I was a working mom who didn't have a constant access to a bathroom. Even when I did at home, I sometimes would not make it to the bathroom. This was a very inconvenient problem. After the break that I took, I started taking this product again about four months ago. I was not eating as much fat, so I do not have the same uncontollable problems that I had when I was eating a high fat diet. I have noticed that I have lost more weight than I normal thought I would have if I was not taking this medicine. Though the magazine that I have read lately have said that there might be liver problems related to taking this. I am not sure if I will comtinue taking this or not, I think it will depend on the...

I have not personally tried Alli but I have heard it is maybe one of the better ones out there. The main problem with weight loss is actually getting exercise, no exercise, no weight loss.

I have used this product when it was a prescription and treied it agin when it became over-the-counter. Basically, it is just like a quick laxative, as far as I am concerned. If you eat anything with any level of fat in it, it will basically make it pass right out of your body. In other words, don't be anywhere but near a bathroom if you take this and then eat some type of fatty food. Because, the bathroom is where you will be running to. So, in my mind, I seriously don't think it does anything for you. You would be better off occasionally eating something fatty and working it off. Otherwise, you may end up not getting enough nutrients from your food. I think people think they can just go about their day and eat whatever they want to and take Alli and they will lose weight. But, that's not true at all. There is a rigid diet plan that is similar to any other diet plan. So, my thought is, "why waste the money?" You might as well just go on a diet and not have to run every time you eat something...

Alli weight loss pills are truly an ally in the fight against weight loss. The most I had lost in a week was four pounds, but that is enough of a loss without being unhealthy weight loss. I didn't change any of my normal dieting habits or exercise habits either. I walked five days to the bus stop for work and ate like I normally would for the month and overall I lost 12 pounds. Alli was excellent for me. I dropped 1 dress size and will be able to wear what I want to the holiday parties coming up!! Alli definately helped me to complete my weight loss goals without being jittery and hungry like most diet pills. It also didn't act like a duiretic making me "lose weigjht" by using the facilities all day. This is not a quick fix solution, you really have to watch what you eat and the fat content involved. The side effects really are as bad as mentioned on other websites.But if you watch your fat intake you can minimize it. You have to be serious and diligent on this medication. I have been taking it for 6 months along with moderate exercise and have lost 30 lbs.

I have been dieting for a long time. With a bad thyroid gland I have struggled with my weight since age twelve. My most recent diet was the most effective. I lost 32 pounds from march to october. yes, Alli will help you lose weight and teach you to eat properly with healthy food and excercise but the side effect are horrible. whne they mention on the website and on the side of the bottle that you may experience lose bowel movements or oily spotting and stools its just an understatement. I've never been so afraid to take a supplement in my life. i'd eat healthy and all, but I would still have accidents. There were several days that I had to leave school just to change my clothes because of spotting that was oily and it's more of a grease stain than an oil stain. It's like pooping out horrible smelling bacon grease from the counties dump. Otherwise its a great product, you just have to be very careful of what you eat. My cousin used this product and lost lots of weight she also used panty liners fro the side effects. I would say try it if you think that you can do what you are suppose to do.

I tried alli and I have to say that if you follow the dietary guidelines it can help you lose some weight. If you don't follow the guidelines, then I have had people tell me it gives you horrible side effects (meaning a lot of diarhea); but I never had that problem. I think the best thing about alli is that by eating within the guidelines it is really retraining your body to eat properly. That is eating a lot of vegetables and very little oils. It is a lesson that anyone wishing to lose weight needs to learn. Another thing about alli, is that it is not a quick fix. It takes time to lose the weight. That is a good thing, since too much weight lost too quickly almost inevetably gets put back on just as quickly and usually more weight is gained. The biggest drawback that I see to alli is that it is not something the manufactuers intend for you to ever stop needing to take. While they provide counseling and internet interaction, which is all great, there is never a goal that...

I have tried Alli and find that it is not for every one. I eat a low fat diet already and did not have the results expected from Alli. I also found , if you shop around you will be able to find Alli at a reasonable price.
