I have taken Alli for 2 months and can tell you that this stuff really does work. I will add that I am not eating high fat foods or junk foods either. You have to eat better in order to lose weight in addition to taking Alli for additional weight loss. If you are looking for one of those magic, burns off fat, while you sleep pills Alli is not for you. However, If you are looking for something that will enhance a well balanced diet and help you lose weight quicker than you normally do then Alli is probably the right thing for you.

Now I am no scientist but who needs a bunch of science "speak" telling you how Alli works. The short of how it works is this.... When you take Alli along with food that has fat in it, the ingredients in Alli binds much of the fat together in your stomach before your body can absorb it. This binding allows the fat to be expelled from your system. Of course there are some side effects that can occur when it comes to your body getting rid of the fat especially if you eat too much of it. This side effects alone keeps you in check when it comes to eating the right foods - trust me. The Alli website and information included with the pills call it a "treatment effect" - it basically means you expell oily binded fat when you go to the bathroom, there's really is no nicer way to say it. While the one main side effect can be a big one for you if you don't follow a good eating plan it is the only one that I personally found. There was none of the jittery feeling, upset stomache, or headaches that some diet pills give me.

Some people may find the cost high but again - you are not throwing away money with something that really doesn't work. You also don't have to take it with every single meal. I would normally eat a bowl of oatmeal, cup of yogurt and a bowl of fruit for breakfast, all of which would be under 5 grams of fat. Some days at lunch I would keep that to under 10 grams so I would not take Alli at breakfast or lunch - so a 60 or 90 count bottle of Alli could last me much longer than expected.

Again, bottom line is Alli is unlike anything else out there. It's not a quick fix or magic pill. If you follow the directions and eat lower fat meals you WILL see results. Remember that you didn't put on those 10, 20, 50 pounds or more on in a month so be realistic in how quickly you will lose that weight - but it did work for me.
