The only detergent I will need moving forward

5

I did not seek out Allen's Naturally Detergent, a friend gave me a sample because she knows I don't trust fragrances and dyes in my products. I find it difficult to find dish soap, hand soap and detergents, etc.. without added fragrances and other things that seem unnecessary. I didn't think much of it at the time and honestly I never really noticed if my clothes were cleaner from one detergent to the next. I just was happy to have a detergent free of the things I don't care for. However, after using Allen's I realized my clothes were different, cleaner. I also didn't believe the 1/4 oz was enough for a load and poured way more in.. don't do that, it's a mistake. I had to run and additional rinse cycle. Use the suggested amount of a 1/4 oz if you have an HE Machine I have had this rash type appearance on my arm for many years and no matter what I have done I could not get rid of it. Since using Allen's it has gone down considerably and never itches as it once did. Performance My car mats are beige and I had been trying to get them clean with dish soap and it was not working, I through them in my washing machine with some Allen's and they were cleaner than ever, like new which really impressed me. I also discovered mixing some Allen's with water in a spray bottle is a great way to get the cuffs and neck of my husband shirts clean. Recently we had taken one of our dogs bed to work and became really dingy and dirty I took it home and washed it in Allen's and it looks like brand new. I used to throw our dog beds away because they never came clean and now I can preserve them longer with Allen's and I don't have to worry about a scent being so strong my dog doesn't want to go near it. Scent There is no Scent which is why I like this. If you are looking for scent this is not the detergent for your. I guess you could add an essential oil of choice, not sure if that is good for clothes though.

Gentle oncloth diapers and the environment

5

I read have a front loading machine so finding something that worked well with cloth diapers and was HE was a huge task that I didn't take lightly because I heard horror stories of ruining your diapers and having to wash them out with dawn and starting all over again. Let alone something that deep cleans well enough to get it clean but not be harsh enough to cause rashes on your babies bottom. The only drawback is it's not really widely available at least not in Alabama. So you have to order it online so if you are running low you NEED to order it fairly quickly. I always ended up procrastinating... I also didn't like the lid configuration and ended up dumping it into a different container. The actual product itself worked wonderfully and I actually ended up using less per load than I needed so it seems more expensive but it is really quite concentrated so it lasts a long time. Like one gallon of it would last me a whole year and that is cloth diapering, me and two kids laundry.

The Only Detergent You'll Need

5

I came across Allen's Naturally Laundry detergent because of my cloth diapering. It's one of the few the detergents recommended with many of the cloth diaper brands. The price seemed a bit steep but it said there were 75 loads in a single box and you only used 1/2 to 1/3 a scoop per load of diapers. I gave in and ordered some. That was almost 5 years ago and that's all we've used every since! A box lasts an incredibly long time. Some weeks it feels like I've done 75 loads but the box is still full! The scoop is small and you'd think it wouldn't work as well as it does. A little bit goes a very long way. I also like that it's made from earth friendly ingredients that aren't harsh on the enviornment. No artificial anything means it's safe enough to wash a newborn babies clothes in. At the same time it gets out dirt and grime from a 4 year olds clothing. It's effective at whatever temperature use it on. The fact that it contains no artifical fragrances was an important selling point as I have a sensitive nose and skin. My skin is dry and prone to eczema and some detergents in the past I've had an allergic reaction to. I highly suggest giving this a try. It's a great investment in more ways than one!

great natural laundry detergent

This is another great natural alternative to the chemical laundry soaps out there.  It has a fresh smell and is very effective.  I have been making an effort to use more natural products because I find it is better for your skin and the environment.  It is a litlle on the concentrated side I find so make sure you start with a little.  A little goes a long way with this stuff.  I use it to wash my cat's bedding because he gets really sneezy if I use anything else.  The only thing you have to be careful of is it does not always get out the really tough stains.  If you use a little castille soap in conjunction with it, you have the perfect laundry soap.  It has another bonus and that is that it is more affordable than the brand names.  I like detergents that lack Phosphates too, they are much better for the environment because they are biodegradable.  Give this soap a try I am sure that you will not be disappointed.  It may be a little tricky to find it at your local department store.  I was unable to find it so I had to order it online, but I heard such good things about it from a friend that it was worth it. Enjoy!

Lasts Seemingly Forever, and gets everything Really Clean!

I have been Cloth Diapering with my second child for the last five months, and when you cloth diaper, you need to use laundry detergent that leaves no residue, has no dyes or perfumes, has no brighteners, and has no fabric softener. I was using another brand, and my daughter was getting the worst diaper rash.  Then a friend of mine introduced me to a store that offered a sample of three different laundry detergents, and Allens Naturally Laundry Detergent was included as one of the samples. It was listed as having enough for 10 loads for a top-loader and 20 loads for a front-loader (high-efficiency) washer. Since I have a HE washer, I was pretty amazed, and when I saw how little powder I was getting, I was a bit skeptical! But for diapers, which are, let's face it, the absolute dirtiest laundry you can actually do, the instructions said to use 1 and a half tablespoons.  Well, I followed the directions exactly--pre-soaking my laundry in cold water and then washing with 1 and a half tablespoons of powder in hot water. The diapers came out GREAT. I have never before gotten them so clean! And within a few days, my daughter's diaper rash was completely gone! I have now bought a 5 lb box, which, I'm pretty sure, will last just about forever. We estimated it comes to about 15-20 cents per load of laundry, depending on how much you have to pay for shipping. We still have a lot of the other brand still hanging around, so we will likely use that to wash our regular clothes, but once we are through with that brand, I intend to switch to Allens Naturally for all of our laundry. Amazing.

Great for the environment & cleans great!

Allens Naturally is a tad big expensive but it is an ALL natural laundry detergent & a lil goes a LONG way I have had mine for 4 months (got it when I bought cloth diapers cause you have to use all natural with them & ended up switching all my wash to it) & barely put a dent in it! I only use about 2 TB per load the stuff is good everything comes out clean & it doesn't damage your clothes!
