Allen's Clam Bar - New Gretna, NJ Review

I left Jersey back in 1974 and don't get back very often.  My wife and I live in Florida now and are planning a trip back to NJ next month (10/09).  First and foremost the trip is about family but since we're there I have to make a stop at Allen's.  Only been there twice over the past 7 years but both times the food was excellent and service was very good.  There's nothing fancy about the place but that's okay.  Food more than makes up for any lack of atmosphere.  Besides, the people I'm with always add to the experience.  Wished I could base my opinions upon more than just two visits but I'm thinking that it's one of those places where the food is consistently good.  Haven't found many of them over the years.  If you are in the area, might be worth stopping in.
