I don't know about you, but finding a pair of jeans that is comfortable and actually PRACTICAL is one of the most difficult quests that I could be on.

Either the jeans are too long, too short, too low, too big in the back, too tight in the thighs, you name it, that seems to be one of the problems with each pair that I try on.

I found a decent pair of jeans from the designer at JC PEnneys called ALLEN B.  ALLEN B. is one of the new designers that JC Penneys has brought in to modernize their clothing offerings for misses and fashion conscious women.

Since I enjoyed my one pair of Allen B (except the weird belt loops), I thought that when I got a really nice gift certificate that I should try another pair.

When I was at the store, I tried on the jeans and was thrilled- they fit fine in the thighs, were not too long and seemed to be very comfortable. I hurried out the door to get home and rued that day since.

WHAT ARE DART KNEE JEANS LIKE?

ALLEN B. DART KNEE JEANS are really interesting.  They have an angled dart at the knee which make them look very interesting.  There are side seams that wind around that also add to the designer look.

I was so thrilled to have another pair of comfortable jeans that one day in a hurry I donned the jeans and then stopped dead in my tracks.  WHAT???

The jeans still fit wonderfully- they were comfortable and not tight, but when I bent over to pick up my coat to put on WHOOPEE- the back of the jeans went WAY down to the plumber view level.

I was so frustrated.  The LAST thing that I want is a pair of jeans to be so big in the back that they fall down.  I debated darting the back waist, but upon closer inspection, I see that the pair of jeans that I have are made so that the back seam is too short- they are actually lower in the back than in the front.

I suspsect that this is because of factory irregularities that are common in every brand.

Despite the really cool look of the jeans, the only thing they are good for is standing up at the sushi bar and eating- if you want to do that all day, because when you get into the car to drive home, it is all over.

I am returning the jeans to Penneys.  The retail price is near $50 ( I got them on sale with a gift certificate) - they should NOT be made like this.

Yeah - we don't want that plumber look. Seriously though, my daughter loves Joe jeans I think they are called.
