Kids think the Touch n Brush is fun.

I always liked those toothpaste tubes that stand up vertically, instead of the tubes. I got one of these. Kids that stay over get excited about it. I had to start helping them. It can make it mess. It does make things a little easier. No more twisting the cap off or pressing down on the tube to get more toothpaste out. The hole you put the tube into is not threaded either. It is made of a rubber substance. It's smaller than a tube opening, so it forms a seal and may be hard at first to adjust. This item comes with a sticker to create a smooth surface if needed. As far as clean up, the toothpaste does hang on the opening hole and sometimes falls. It is about as messy as having a tube. If you take the time, you can insert your toothbrush straight in and straight out, then it will stay perfectly clean. Otheriwse, expect a mess. The amount dispensed does not suit everyone. For me, it is about the right amount. For kids, it could be a little less. I think some is wasted. The little Touch n Brush does require more space on the counter. I am somewhat anal, and do not like my counters cluttered. I am still using this thing, but I have a feeling it will be passed along to a family member soon enough. It is nice, but not something I really need. It isn't that convenient for me.

Touch N Brush not so good.

My kids had seen this on TV and been wanting it for a while, and I put off getting it, thinking it was a gimmick. Well, one day I got a coupon for an "as seen on TV" product, and coupled with a sale, it made the price pretty good. So I got it, set it up in my boys' bathroom (which gets quite messy - toothpaste mess being a big part of the mess around the sink). And they liked it, it was a neat concept, kids were happy, I was happy. For a little while. Then, after a while I started noticing that it gets messy, really messy, on the bottom of the touch and bruch where you "touch" your toothbrush. Now, anyone who has had to clean up toothpaste that has semi-dried and hardened knows what a pain it is to remove it completely. And as it builds up and up on the "touch" part of the touch and brush...gross. So, here it is, I don't want to throw it away because it does at least keep the tube of toothpaste up and off the counter. But it looks pretty yucky and is a pain to clean.

We were not impressed with the Touch N Brush

We purchased the "Touch N Brush" at the request of my 4 year old daughter.  I thought that if it would help her brush her teeth without a fight it might be worth it.  When we took it out of the box, the system appeared simple.  The free toothbrush was not anything special and we actually got rid of it as it did not work as well as the spinbrush that we enjoy.  We could not hang the suction cups on our mirror or our children would not be able to reach it so we used the adhesive piece of plastic that you attach to your wall so the suction cups can hang up on any surface.  This just did not work for us.  In the middle of the first night, it crashed down on the floor.  After 2 more days it fell again and completely shattered.  My daughter was heartbroken that the product did not last and we were out a bunch of cash.  Not only did it not hang properly, we also had to purchase two additional tubes of toothpaste in order to find one that fit properly.  I did love the product when it worked, and I hope that if you hung this on the mirror it would not crash down.

Still a Mess

The concept is great, but there is still a mess.  Plus, it takes up wall space.  We got this because we thought it would be less messy for our 6 year old to use it.  Also, the amount that comes out of the Touch n Brush is more than she needs, which means wasted product and the risk of too much toothpaste in the mouth for a child.

Does not work like on TV

So my kids see the commerical for Touch N Brush toothpaste dispenser and begged me to buy it.  After months of watching the commerical and cleaning up the toothpaste mess in the kids bathroom, listening to the kids plead for me to get it, I finally decided to buy it.  I went to my local Bed Bath and Beyond bought it and put it together.  I was very impressed when I put it together thinking this would be perfect, no more mess, just the right amount of toothpaste dispensed and finally able to sqeeze every last drop out of the toothpaste tube.  The first few days were great, my kids loved it, it worked great and life was good.  After that, it went downhill.  It is hard to push the lever in and pull the toothbrush out perfectly straight so the dispenser starts getting coated with the toothpaste.  I have to clean the lever every few days because the toothpaste smears all over the Touch N Brush dispenser lever and cover.  My kids are also using so much more toothpaste because so much is left on the dispenser.  On the positive side, it is squeezing every last drop out of the toothpaste tube.  There is also no mess all over the counter, it is just on the Touch N Brush.  I am not impressed with the Touch N Brush since it does not work as well as I thought, but my kids love it so we will continue to use it.
