I hated cream corn.....never liked it as a child, teen, or adult. I had the task this past Thanksgiving to do all the cooking(I still get chills thinking about what a task that was...LOL)and cream corn was a request. I thought to myself YUCK but I was also well aware that cream corn is key for the turkey day meal.
I came across this site and found a wealth of great recipes and information for the seasoned cook. I looked around to see what the site had to offer and happened upon a recipe(below)for cream corn. Although it looked easy I still was not up to the task of trying out a first time recipe but once I was done I gave it a taste thinking that it would be just as nasty as all the other times I had and the taste knocked my taste buds to their knee's. Rich in taste and marrying together some great ingredients this cream corn is like no other you have ever tasted!
INGREDIENTSIn a skillet over medium heat, combine the corn, cream, salt, sugar, pepper and butter. Whisk together the milk and flour, and stir into the corn mixture. Cook stirring over medium heat until the mixture is thickened, and corn is cooked through. Remove from heat, and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Serve hot.
