When using this product I felt that the taste wasnt to strong but I still fell the ugly smell of it. While other brands that are generic to this one tend to be stronger this type of OTC meds can leviate that discussing smell. While other brands are dissolve faster in the water this one seems to take a longer time to disolve that the other types of OTC medication. I dont know why but I believe it may be related to the compound that are made to build each tablet. Overall I believe that when taking this type of tablet than the other ones I have a better reliabe and am more satisfied than the other ones. The only negative part of the Alka-Setzers is that the price is a little to high for the same countity that other generic brand have to offer. My believe is you pay for what you get but I believe paying a little more for this bad smell to go away is wort paying for.

I love Alka-Seltzer, I think I am their biggest fan.  Anytime I dont feel good I take these and they work great.  They hit you faster than other medications.  I do not like the original flavor, it is hard to get down but now they have all different flavors of Alka-Seltzer that taste pretty good.  My favorites are the orange honey flavor, which just tastes like a flat sunkist, and the lemon lime flavor that tastes like a flat sprite would.  I got my husband hooked on alka-seltzer this past year, he never would try one because he thought it was just old school but now he is hooked on them and wont take anything else because he says they work so well.  They are fairly inexpensive too and they always have coupons out and sales on them at your local drugstore.  The Alka-Seltzer Plus one is also good for when you have a cold, I like it much better than day quil.  It is also the best cure for a hangover.

  I paid "extra" and bought the Extra Strength Alka-Seltzer hoping that I would get faster and better relief from the frequent heartburn I suffer with.  That didn't happen.  By the time I could normally "plop plop-fizz fizz" and drink an original Alka-Seltzer, I was still waiting for the extra strength one to dissolve in the water.  The taste is stronger and harsher too.  As for the "relief", it helped me, but I couldn't tell really any difference from taking a regular Alka-Seltzer.  I will use these Alka-Seltzers because I don't believe in waste, but I won't be buying any more.  Alka-Seltzer has come a long way with its product line-even including a "hangover" formula, but the extra strength formula is not for me.  The "extra" in the extra strength formula is probably the higher dose of aspirin it has (500 mg) as opposed to the 325 mg in the original formula.  Take it for what it's worth.
