Really thought I would hate this, but now I'm mad.

I honestly thought I was going to hate this show. I'm pretty picky, especially with comedies, but I figured the concept was somewhat different so I would check it out.
By the end of the first episode I was completely hooked and have to say that any preconceived notions I may have had were eradicated by the third episode.
Who would think the spawn of the married UPN and WB would produce a relevant TV show that provides laughter, insight and a little lesson about life, diversity and understanding.
That said, if the writer's strike kills 'Aliens in America', there's going to be some very peeved, loyal fans.
It is a shame that just as the show was hitting it's stride by episode 13, the well ran dry. I think anyone who loves this show is eagerly awaiting its return. And I think they sincerely hope that the forced hiatus doesn't allow one of these awful "reality" shows to sink one the few intelligent shows produced for the 2007 season.
