Years ago my mother had found a wonderful book she thought I might like at the Salvation Army called "Fisher's Hornpipe" by Todd McEwen. I went to Alibris for the apparent great variety and selection. I wanted to order every single book I needed for school from one place and after searching for, and adding to my cart, more than twenty books, I was ecstatic to place my order. I was a little startled by my $60 S&H fee... but was happy to be done with my book search. — That's when it all went downhill. — I received email after email of cancellations for each order. This is one of my favorite sites for purchasing books. Over the years I have been able to find some great deals at this site for new and used books. Over the years I have found some draw backs to this site. They base there used book rating system off of five dots based on the condition of the book and a brief description of the book left by the seller. This site also offers reliability ratings for the sellers; also no feedback on sellers is available. — The one main draw back to this site is the price for shipping and the price for the books… read full review »
