Alia Day - Atlantis Rising Review

I got into this book with mixed feelings.  I don't read many romance novels because I feel like they are a waste of my time.  But, having said that, I really liked this one.  This was a believable book, a book about life (albeit fictional life).  It had a depth to it that is sadly lacking in most romance novels.

When I started reading this book (which I borrowed from a friend), I decided I would like to buy it.  I didn't even realize at the time that it was a romance novel until I found it on the appropriate shelf at the book store!  There is sex in it but it doesn't override the plot.  It adds to the plot.

The characters were well written.  I laughed, cried, hurt and rejoiced with them.  I also liked the word pictures Ms Day paints.  Vivid but believable.  I liked it so much, I read the book that follows this one.  I wasn't disappointed.  I will be reading the 3rd book in the series when it comes out.
