I get major headaches. Most of the time, they stem from my old neck injury and start in the back of my head and rage through my entire head until I am unable to do ANYTHING. The only OTC medication I have found that works for me is Aleve Caplets. Ibuprofen is good for certain other things but Aleve is where I usually find relief.

As I said, I get terrible headaches. With a mother who died from complications of a brain aneurysm and a sister who recently had a brain aneurysm burst, I know I am also very prone to those. I think about that every time my head throbs.

I don't like to take medications but there are times when I just can't function unless I do. That is where Aleve Caplets come in.

When I get a headbanger of a headache, I take Aleve Caplets. If my headache isn't tolerable or gone in a half an hour, THEN I really worry. Luckily, with Aleve, my headaches have always been nearly gone within that time frame or before.

Aleve Caplets contain Anaprox, which is the main ingredient in prescription arthritis medications. A plus to this medication is that you only need to take one or two caplets every eight to 12 hours. I find one dose is all I need. I rarely have to take another dose to keep a headache or other pain at bay.

What Aleve is Good For

Temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to:

• common cold
• headache
• toothache
• muscular aches
• backache
• menstrual cramps
• minor pain of arthritis

Temporarily reduces fever

My Viewpoint

These easy to swallow, amazingly effective caplets are available in a deep blue box in quantities of 24 to 500. I prefer the 100 count which is enough for the whole family yet won't get stale sitting on the shelf for months.

When I get head, neck, or back pain that I can't tolerate, I reach for Aleve Caplets. I do take Motrin/Ibuprofen for certain pain that responds to anti inflammatory medication but, as a rule, my pain reliever of choice is Aleve Caplets.

I give this medication 5 stars. It takes my pain away FAST and doesn't give me any side effects at all.
