Aleve Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer —

I have fibromyalgia and have tried to use many different prescription and over the counter medications.  Tylenol ate up my stomach.  Other medications made me sick to my stomach or didn't work.  I tried Aleve one day, after my mother suggested that I give it a try.

Aleve is easy to use, and most days it works at relieving most of the daily pain I experience. I wake up almost every day needing relief from pain and stiffness before I can even head to my daughters bedroom to get them up.  Most mornings start with one or two Aleve and a glass of water.

With Aleve, most days I get the relief I need without having to take a prescription medication that makes me tired, sleepy or too drowsy to be able to play with my children or get anything else done during the day.  I don't feel any nasty side effects like an upset stomach.  This over the counter medication also helps with the pain of migraine headaches that happen quite often as a result of the fibromyalgia.

Aleve doesn't work all the time, but that is more because of my illness, I think, than because of any lack in the medication. But quite often it gives me the relief I need to at least get my day started.  The bottle is easy to open, the pills are easy to swallow and usually only one dose is all that is needed. Aleve is long lasting and effective and for someone who suffers from chronic pain and stiffness, Aleve helps make the pain go away, and unfortunately come again another day.

I still need my medication, just not as often and so I have a lot more energy throughout the day (on good days). Unfortunately on bad days nothing works.

I wish this would help Len instead of him having to take his prescription drugs.

This is the ONLY pain reliever that works for me. My sister is in terrible pain from a spinal injury and she says Aleve works better than hydrocodone and other strong stuff she was prescribed.

So far so good. Tylenol did a number on mine. And the RX they gave me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Aleve finally got to my stomach, but it is a super product for pain as you've said. Glad you can take it.

I LOVE Aleve. I'm allergic to Ibuprofen and aspirin. Acetaminophen (sp.?) in Tylenol also upsets my stomach. While doing chemo my oncologist said that most patients cannot use Aleve because of the Naproxen. We didn't know what else I could use for the headaches so I gave the Aleve a try. Whala--it worked, my doctors were amazed and let me stick with it. I keep bottles of Aleve in sport bag, office, several cabinets in my house and in my purse. Aleve: Don't leave home without it!

I use Alleve everyday! I work part-time in the hospitality industry and I'm on my feet for 8 hours straight, lifting bending, etc. I also have knee problems from horse-back riding. . .talk about aches and pains. . .simply said, "It works!"
