As a sufferer of severe premenstrual cramping, I have tried every OTC pain reliever under the sun. Unfortunately, nothing has ever worked satisfactorily for me. Either the med took too long to kick in or only took a mild edge off the severe pain I was experiencing. I was feeling scared that prescription narcotics would be my only source of relief, and as a child of an addictive parent, I felt that was not the wisest route for me to take.
Aleve Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer has answered my prayers! Though the pills are a tad difficult to swallow, this product works fast and doesn't upset my stomach like Ibuprofen does. My pain is reduced to a level that's tolerable or disappears completely, however, the recommended 2 tabs per day just doesn't cut it. I find that 2 tabs every 6 hours provides me with adequate pain relief.
