Aldi Food Stores Review

I have to agree with other reveiwers, that staples come at a great price.  I was expecially pleased with their canned tuna because I was getting national brands and getting black specks in them.  I was leery of trying Aldi's tuna and was very satisfied with it.  Their frozen skinless, boneless chicken usually has less fat attached than from your regular grocers.  Since it is frozen, it is usually easier to remove.  However, besides the chicken, I will only buy their 90/10 ground meat.  Any lower ratio has more fat than you get at the regular grocery stores.. I have also bought corn beef from Aldi's that taste was so permeated with fat that I tossed the whole piece of meat.  I was buying the beef hot dogs but they also  are full of fat, something I have never had with any other hotdog and these were the all-beef.

I definitely find great bargains on staples and many of their produce items are of excellent quality.  At least you can tell this beforehand.  The only produce item from Aldi's that I have had to give "thumbs down to" were their seedless grapes.  They were mouth-puckering; they were so sour.
