Aldi Food Stores

It took me a while to check this store out, I fiqured it was low cost generic food. Boy was I wrong. Although I don't do all my shopping there It sure does help out on the family budget and has some great qualiy foods name brand and aldi name brand.

It was about a year after the store opened after hearing good comments after another,I decided to take a peek for myself.I was really suprised of the selection and taste the aldi name carried, alot of flavored items ready to cook,fancy looking too, who would of known.

Pro's and cons :

~The store buys in bulk and pass's the savings onto you.~

~Although you do have to pay a quarter for a cart;"You get it back when you return the cart"~

~You have to buy your own bags. Not a problem.. I'm a avid shopper at sam's I'm used to no bags and having to grab a box or bring my own bags from home.~

~Lines can get long, don't fret they move very fast~

~~~~ *Only take CASH ~~ Debit card* ~~ Food stamps ~~~~No credit cards excepted....
~ money back garentee on aldi food brands if it does not meet your expectations~
~~They do not take ~~ manufacturer's coupons, (not at my store any ways)
I reccomend this store as a great place to get fresh vegtables,staple items, various odds and ends.They have a huge selection of cheese's
I suggest trying a few aldi brands I believe  you will be suprised and wish you have done this alot sooner ... :)When I try something new I only add one in the cart we vote as a family. I do not care for the aldi's canned vegetables( to soft for me),But I have found aldi's beans to be in good flavor.
 I updated this with some photo's of aldi brands, as name varies but is still in the aldi line of foods.(** If you click on the photo's to get a better view,They scanned in nice but look out of place in the little boxes in the corner**)
~~ Some of my favorites that always fall in the cart :    ~~
I like  to buy the yogurt covered raisins availible in chocolate,vanilla,strawberry.
Coffee creamer- french vanilla flavor (my favorite),Oils for baking  vegetable, canola, flour, nuts- walnuts & pecans-(way cheaper than the grocery store)Coffee filters,Graham Crackers Cinnamon flavored,chili beans,angel food cake.
I have been meaning to go there, (I like stock up on paper plates,coffee filters ,oil ,sugar,cheese's roll's lots of staples..) I haven't tried the instant coffee, never been a big fan of it,great for a emergency though...I drink folgers even that is getting up there in price:(( I may have to find some other favorites... Aldi's liquid coffee creamers are awesome,huge and for around 2.00 I am totally hooked on the french vanilla variety sooooooooooo good.. I like their chili brand kidney beans really good flavor for chili dish's.
I wish I could pet his little head! Say, you know what's good at Aldi's, I think? They have the best instant coffee! Also I used to love their frozen fruit bars that they used to have. I haven't been there in a while. Now that the weather is nicer, I'll have to go down there and see what's up.
Hi Anna :)) I agree, some people are to proud to shop there,They feel they have to sneak... I say who cares I shop at every store in town,This is no different,Just a store,and food is rapidly circulated in ours due to the high content of shoppers. Nope no coupons taken here either :( I did forget to add that, I'm a coupon user too :)) I haven't tried the insulation bag thing, I have a cooler I put in my truck when I go on hot/warm days.. :))Sending my pup a kiss 4-ya :))
Great review! You'd be surprised at the fancy people in my town who sneak over to Aldi's when no one is looking! I like the plastic insulated shopping bags they sell to carry frozen foods home in hot weather. It might have been good to mention that they won't take manufacturer's coupons, at least not at our Aldi's. Kiss your little "puppy" for me!
