Alberto V05 Extra Body Conditioner is another one of the very few (in my opinion) conditioners that add body and fullness to hair without weighing it down or over-moisturizing. I use it on my son's hair too and love the fluffy, healthy shine it creates. One thing, however-- I use this conditioner first, before shampooing. I leave it in for about 5 minutes and them follow with a thorough rinse and shampoo. I know that's backwards for most people, but a good conditioner should do its work whether or not it's followed with a wash. I also want to be sure that no residue is left behind to weigh down my hair. There's a definite lift to my hair when I use this conditioner, and a welcome softness (my hair can get frizzy and brittle). Effectiveness Adds volume and softness, also detangles. For the price it's terrific, especially for use on kids. Scent The scent is inoffensive, but I personally prefer little to no scent. Slightly floral, not overpowering or lasting.

If this product wasn't so cheap, I wouldn't buy it. I don't like how thin it is. I have curly hair and my hair type really needs lots of moisture and thick conditioner is usually the best. I usually have to use more of this conditioner than I would a thicker brand. Then, that cuts the savings. Effectiveness It is too thin and doesn't do a great job moisturizing my hair. Scent They have great scents and many options.

It does work to condition hair, but not nearly as well as other products, and it's watery, thin consistency makes it hard to work with. I find it slips off my hair while I am trying to work with it. The scent is not very noticeable, it is not really good or bad.

This product is excellent for detangling kinky hair. You can use this with water to refresh your curls or as a leave in to seal in moisture. This is beyond affordable and always available at your local grocery chains. Kroger always has this for .79 on sale. This is my go to conditioner for detangling my hair. Scent The smell is always pleasant.

**** When you have flat hair especially in the summer time with all the heat and humidity,then try Alberto VO5 Volumizing conditioner for extra body and bounce. IT smells so delicious too. I use both Alberto VO5 shampoo and conditioner together. I get so many compliments about how my hair is so long,beautiful and bounces. Thats the kind of compliments that I like because I take good care of my hair.  I like the way this conditioner reacts to my hair and makes me know that I am taking care of the health of my hair. Sure, I know its not expensive to buy,but why go out and spend a small fortune on hair care products when you can get Alberto VO5 products that works great! At first when I bought the product and the price was reasonable I could not believe the way it made my hair feel so soft,smells great and easy to manage. Even the kids notice my hair and ask me what I use. I smile and say "this is the best product". Effectiveness It really is very effective in the way it helps my hair to have my volume and bounce. I love this product and will always use it for my hair. This product is fantastic and works very well. Scent I love the scent that it leaves on my hair. Everyone always tells me how great how hair smells and also wants to know what I use on my hair. I am so very proud of the compliments that I get on this.

It is not always the case: "You get what you pay for" but in this particular case, it is. Alberto VO5 does not do what it promises. Creamy it is, but it does not give you volume, and it leaves a residue behind. I will agree that it is cheap, but that is the problem. It is cheap in price and in quality. If I want to use a "cheaper" brand and do not want to sacrifice quality, I will turn to Suave. Suave leaves my hair "clean". No residue behind. I don't really care for the scents that VO5 conditioners have to offer either. Their shampoos are okay, as far as lathering up, and smelling decent, but my hair has to be washed more often with VO5. I have very long, thick hair, it is not a job for your average shampoo and conditioner I know, but it should at least have a decent lather, not leave a residue, not feel like you have to wash your hair everyday, (you should wash your hair every other day) and it should smell good. Those are my preferences anyway. You don't have to take my word for it, it is just my own opinion.

Alberto VO5 Extra Body conditioner is such a value!  It is one of the least expensive conditioners available, yet it works really well.  Talk about getting your money's worth!  You really do get more than you pay for.  I highly recommend it.  All of the VO5 conditioners are good.  They have really nice scents to them.  I've caught several people discretely sniffing my hair!  I really like Alberto VO5 Extra Body because it not only conditions your hair, but also gives it the feeling of having extra body.  It really works!  I just don't understand why so many people spend so much money on hair products.  Alberto VO5 is an amazing deal for your money!  And if you shop the sales, and clip coupons, it is practically free!  What a deal!  It is easy to find.  You can find it in most stores, grocery as well as drug stores.  I highly recommend it!  Especially if you are looking for ways to pinch pennies.

I felt this was just your average, plain Jane conditioner. It didn't do anything for my limp hair. I didn't have any added fullness, shine, or bounce. It even felt like my hair was weighted down with residue. And, I'm nost sure what is up with the scent. It's really strong, and it's not all that pleasant. This conditioner is definitely a bargin, so for the cost, it's great for that I suppose. But, to me, I'd be willing to pay a little more to get a conditioner that really works on my hair. And again, the scent it overwhelming. Give it a whiff if you're thinking about it, and just make sure you are okay with the scent. It didn't really stay on my hair (the scent), after I washed it out, but still, it's strong when first applied.

I have been using Alberto VO5 Extra Body Volumizing Conditioner for over 10 years. I have long curly coarse hair which is almost impossible to brush through. Alberto VO5 has always made my hair shiny, soft and healthy, as well as keeping the curls nice instead of frizzy and dry. It comes out as a thick texture and doesn't just drip off your hair into the tub, It easily rubs in to the hair and makes it instantly soft! Makes it look like I have spent a lot more money on my hair treatments! ALberto VO5 Extra Body Volumizing Conditioner has a wonderful smell and even leaves your hair smelling extra sweet after it is dry. For a person who does not want to spend a whole lot on hair conditioner but needs something to keep their hair shiny, full of body, soft, and not frizzy, I would definetly recommend Alberto VO5 Extra Body Volumizing Conditioner over similar priced competetor brand conditioner based on the decade of experience I have with it!
