Alba Un-Petroleum Tangerine Lip Balm Review

Alba Un-Petroleum Tangerine Lip Balm sounded like it was going to be a winner.  It is all natural, paraben-free, has SPF 18, is not tested on animals and has a citrus scent - my favorite.  However, the texture of this lip balm totally ruins it for me.

I keep using this lip balm trying to convince myself that I can start to like it, but it just hasn't happened.  I do love the tangerine scent.  In fact, I keep applying it just so I can get a whiff of the great scent, but unfortunately, I don't like the texture at all.  It feels thick and waxy to me.  It glides on my lips easily enough, but I don't like the feeling on my lips; they feel a little coated and heavy. 

I do love that Alba Un-Petroleum Tangerine Lip Balm has SPF 18 in it and that it is made with all natural ingredients, but I just don't like it.  I am very picky with my lip balms, and this one just didn't meet my standards for a smooth texture.  If you aren't picky about the texture of your lip balms, you would probably love this, but it's just not for me.  My favorite lip balm is and probably always will be Desert Essence Lip Rescue with Shea Butter.
