I absolutely love, love, love Alba Un-Petroleum multi-purpose jelly. This has been a life saver for me and my family. We all have severe eczema and sensitive skin. Before I found, Alba, I had tried endless creams, lotions, moisturizers, both prescription strength and over the counter but nothing really helped our skin. I was so desperate to find an all natural product. I must admit that I was guilty of using vaseline since it was the only product that helped locked it the moisture for our extremely dry and itchy skin. I was skeptical at first when I first started using this product but I soon came to love it. It is definitely gentle on sensitive skin and helps soothe and protect it. It is not for those how are looking for a light moisturizer. This product is very thick and acts as a barrier to help lock in the moisture into your skin. I love how it is all natural. Which is my main concern. If you have been using vaseline, I urge to to give it a try. Your life will be forever changed. You will also have that peace of mind that you are using an all natural product this both good for you and the environment. Scent Does not really have a scent. Absorption Able to absorb protect. Effectiveness Soothes and moisturizes extremely dry and sensitive skin.

I am in favor of using natural products whenever possible, especially when they are going to be used on my precious body. Therefore, I'm not a big fan of traditional petroleum jelly - too unnatural and unhealthy for me. This unpetroleum jelly is so similar to petroleum jelly, yet made in a way that is much healthier, and therefore, much safer for use on your body. This unpetroleum jelly can be used in place of lotion, or for times when you need something a little more intensive. It is gentle and safe and free of harsh chemicals or fragrances. I don't like the fact that this jelly takes a long time to absorb, but that is the same as typical petroleum jellies. My conclusion: This is a natural product that is very similar to the unnatural version of it. Unpetroleum jelly works just as well as petroleum jelly. Natural and safe, I highly recommend this product over the alternative.

Better than any petroleum jelly. While the standard petroleum jelly definitely serves its purposes, Alba Un-Petroleum Jelly performs even better. The highly emollient, creamy salve spreads on thick to soothe and protect. While petroleum sits on the skin surface, this formula not only penetrates to moisturize but also forms a barrier to prevent future irritation. You do not have to worry about depleting the earth on nonrenewable resources, contaminant concerns and ecological toxicity. Alba Un-Petroleum Jelly is an all natural combination of plant oils and waxes. This really is Multi-Purpose. Try it on parched skin, rough elbows, dry heels, chapped lips and everywhere else from head to toe. My favorite use is as an overnight treatment. I layer generously on hands and feet then wear light cotton gloves and socks. I wake up to baby soft skin everytime. This is a year-round, but especially for winter, must have. The waxy emulsion may solidify during colder temperatures but it can be softened up through the warmth of the palms. Scent None to note. Absorption Use sparingly. Effectiveness Excellent, effective.

I use this for my son's super dry skin.  It not only protects the dry skin patches, but, unlike other heavy duty moisturizers, it actually soaks in, and helps to heal the dryness.  i have just started using this in the last few weeks, and can already tell a difference.

Luckily, I worked at [Whole Foods Market][1] when I was pregnant with my son. Through all the training I received, I learned a lot about natural ingredients and the benefits of them. I have been on the natural bandwagon ever since and will never turn back. When my son was circumsized, the hospital told me to put Vaseline on that area to keep it moisturized and so it wouldn't stick to the inside of the diaper.  Um, I wouldn't touch Vaseline with a ten foot pole, so I went to work (Whole Foods) and bought some **Alba Un-Petroleum Multi-Purpose Jelly**.  It has the same texture and feel of the chemically filled Vaseline, but it is made with all natural oils and waxes.  This product did the trick wonderfully and my son didn't encounter any problems.  Other uses for this product are: skin moisturizer, diaper rash barrier, etc...  If you or anyone you know is going the all natural route, I highly recommend this product for you and your little ones.
