Most HelpfulI love this airline! I live in Alaska and use this airline quite often. The Customer Service agents go above and beyond to seat my toddler with me when we can't get seats together at check-in. I have had a lot of other airlines just tell us to ask people on the plane which can be stressful when people...

Most HelpfulI would only fly on Alaska or Horizon if I could. I think they are that much better than any other domestic airline out there flying. I travel out of Northwest Washington State, and found if your going to touch down at any of the regional "whistlestops" or major destinations from a smaller local airport, Alaska or Horizon is it, as they cover the entire West Coast including connections to Mexico better than anyone. I think they're the best of what airlines are supposed to do and rarely falter in my experience. I've flown Alaska literally over a hundred flights worth, and found them...
read full review »I've flown well over 1 dozen trips with Alaska, to various locations across the western U.S., and I have always had a very positive experience with staff and services, even when flying throughout Alaska in rough weather! I've also had to ship thousands of pounds of cargo, and have had excellent service with that department.
This is a post to an incident that occurred on 08.14.09, Flight Number 84 outbound from Sea-Tac, Washington to San Jose, California. My Wife and I chose this flight because we were traveling with our 19-month old son and this flight was the best choice, taking into account his sleeping and eating schedule. This flight was delayed of 3 and ½ hours due to the absence of the scheduled pilots and/or flight crew needed to take us to our destination. I understand that sometimes a part on the aircraft might need to be replaced or that the weather will affect the departure time, however waiting on qualified...

I flew a 6 hour flight from ANC to HNL on Alaska Airlines in coach class on a 737-800. They had a delicious Hawaiian meal on the way there and DigEplayers for rental for the In-Flight entertainment. They had about 9 movies, about 15 or so TV shows, about 10 children cartoons, about 15 categories of music, Hawaii and Alaska destination information, and Alaska Airlines information! That was a lot of choices and it made my flight go by really fast. The drinks kept flowing and the captain warned us about any up coming turbulence. There was also pillows and blankets so it was very comfortable...

I live in Los Angeles and found a pup in Alaska that I wanted to adopt. A friend of mine was flying into Los Angeles from Anchorage at the same time and agreed to add the pup to her ticket in order to deliver him to me. Originally she had a ticket that had her stopping one or two time before arriving in Los Angeles -- when Alaska Airlines saw that a puppy was travelling with her, they put her (and my precious pup!) on a non-stop flight -- with no extra charges! My pup arrived sooner than I expected and he wasn't subjected to all the extra landings & take-off's!
