Bad product.

Ajax Triple Action Dish Liquid (Orange Scent) is a bad dish washing liquid. It's very runny, has a bad orange scent, and doesn't wash your dishes well at all. This product is cheap for a reason. It's not a good product at all. When you first use the product you will notice it is really runny. It doesn't have the thicker texture like other dish soaps. The scent is nasty. It's a gross orange scent that's just not appealing at all. When I wash dishes I allow the dishes to soak in my sink for a while before I actually wash them because it makes it much easier. When I went back to wash the dishes after about 10 minutes all the suds were gone. I noticed that even after soaking my dishes for a while food was still stuck on much more than usual. It also didn't cut through grease very well at all and just made it all smeary on my pans I was washing. I tried it a few other times and used more of the product in the water than I did the first time but it still just didn't perform well. I do not recommend this product. It's bad, that's it.

Ajax- I'm not a fan!

3

I purchased this Ajax tripe action dish soap in the orange scent because it was the cheapest of all the varieties. The only good thing I have to say about this product is that it is a nice orange scent, and it is cheap. So what don't I like about it? For one thing, it doesn't work the greatest. I find I really have to scrub harder and use more soap when doing dishes with this product than with other dish liquids. It doesn't seem to "attack" or stick on to the dishes as well as others, resulting in more being used and having to scrub harder on the dishes. I also find this product to be hard on my hands if I'm not wearing gloves. It does not have any moisturizing effects added (naturally because it's inexpensive), but it does seem to be harder on hands than other dish soaps. So even though this product, is less expensive, you use more to get the job done. Overall I would recommend paying a little more for a better quality brand.

cleans my dishes and makes them smell clean

I'm a stay at home mom so I'm always doing the dishes. I do most of the shopping during the day so I make sure I get products that are affordable. I like Ajax triple action dish liquid soap orange scent its the best for my dirty dishes. The consistency of this soap is a little thin. It works great on the pots and pans that have leftover food and its tough on grease. I hardly ever do any scrubbing on any of my dishes because this dish soap does it all. Its removes all of the sticky foods and the burnt ones too. I like how my plates and bowls still look. It kills bacteria and its a good soap to wash your hands with. I had a casserole dish that had sticky cheese and pasta that was stuck to it, I washed it with this soap and it came right out. It has a fresh citrus scent that leaves my dishes smelling great. This dish soap is always inexpensive to buy so I'm always buying these to stock up. I recommend it to anybody, it works just as good as the other soaps and it absorbs a lot into the sponge making it last.

Weaker than other brands

I decided to try Ajax because I had a coupon and I ended up only paying about 75 cents for it. The bottle had 14 fl oz in it. In a matter of a week I have used half of it because it takes so much of it to do the job. The bottle says it cuts grease but it takes twice as much as a good brand detergent to do that. The smell was average. While the odor was not unpleasant, it was not fabulous either. It almost smelled cheap. Normally I buy the Gain dish washing liquid. It comes in a 9 oz bottle and it takes weeks to use that much. While the Ajax came with 5 oz more for the price that I normally pay for Gain (after coupons), the extra that came in the bottle was used to make up for its lack of hard work compared to the Gain. Overall, it does the job of cleaning but takes too much of it to do the job. The bottle says it is stronger than grease but it certainly is not stronger than Gain or Dawn. Skip the Ajax and go for the Gain or Dawn. You will use less that way.

Worth it for the price

I started using the Ajax dish soap because it was offered at a lower price than the bigger name brand soaps and I was sick of paying the higher price. I picked the orange scented variety because I am usually a fan of this scent. I think Ajax did a good job of incorporating this scent without making it overwhelming. I like that it smells less sterile than other dish soaps. When I wash my dishes I don't have to use too much of this soap to create lots of bubbles. And the bubbles usually last long enough for me to get all of my dishes done without having to use more soap. This makes my bottles last for a long time, so this product is definitely worth it for the price. Sometimes I have a hard time getting off stuck on food from my dishes which can make me feel like this product isn't necessarily the best. And sometimes it does leave water spots on my dishes. But I do feel that it cleans them enough for me to feel safe using the dishes to feed food to my family. I like that this product works, maybe not as well as the big name brands, but well enough, and it is offered at a much better price. I will continue to use my Ajax dish soap until I feel that it is not getting the job done. And at this rate, that may be never!

Good Bubbles, Good Smell, Good Color

Ajax dish soap works great! To get lots of bubbles, I squirt once or twice into a cup when I'm filling up my sink to do dishes and the result is that I get lots of bubbles---enough to wash a sink full of pans and dishes. The bubbles last. Since I do have a dishwasher, I am usually washing pots and pans and this dish soap does a good job on messy and greasy pans. If you use this soap, try just using a squirt or two. The nice thing is that you really don't need to use much soap to do an entire sink full of dishes. Because you don't need to use that much soap, one bottle lasts for quite a while. Because this dish soap isn't expensive and you don't need to use much, it is really a bargain. The smell is not strong. It smells like citrus and it is pleasant, which is all I really want. I have a sunny kitchen with orange accents, so the color of this dish soap fits right in and makes my kitchen even sunnier.

Keeps Hands Squeaky Clean While Doing Dishes

My mother-in-law never owned a dishwasher so as the nice guest, I always volunteered to do the dishes. My choice above all others for liquid dish soap would have to be Ajax Triple Action. Not only does it do a superb job of cutting through grease and dried up food but it also washes away all bacteria from your hands. This is great to have around the house to cut down on colds and diseases also. Great to use to clean off doorknobs and landline telephones. Ajax has produced many fine products but I would heed the warning to their new gel packs to use in the dishwasher. For some reason they just don't measure up. I can understand wanting to stay in the now and venturing out but I will never buy their gelpacks for the dishwasher again. Ajax triple action liquid dishwashing soap also successfully removes odor from your pots, pans and dishes. Although it comes in a range of sizes, I prefer the 30 oz because it lasts the longest.

Watery and weak

This crappy soap is all water and sucks at cutting grease. The "clean" dishes are left with a food smell and it takes three times as much of this soap to wash as it does Dawn. My roommate insists on buying it because it's cheap, but it's a waste

Great Little Bargain Brand

4

Ajax's Triple Action Dish Liquid in Orange Scent might not be the greatest dishwashing liquid available, but for the price and quantity, it's surprisingly very good. I don't mind washing dishes by hand, and like a pleasingly scented detergent to go along with the soothing qualities of the warm water, plus something that won't dry out my hands by stripping away all the oils. While I find that Palmolive's soaps are best for keeping hands soft and smooth, even long after washing, Ajax isn't the worst out there in terms of dry hands - nothing like Dawn (yikes). The scent is light and refreshing but noticeable; it has a fresh yet rather mellow zing of orange but isn't so overpowering that it eventually becomes cloying and sickening. In fact, the scent is actually my favorite part of this product, though for some people it may not be to one's tastes, so try others if you're not a big fan. Ajax is great for soaking dishes and cutting through grease or any tough, hard-to-remove residue and stains. It foams up considerably and yet you won't be lost in a sea-of-suds, leaving dishes with a beautiful, clean glossiness you can only expect to get in the dishwasher or with more expensive products. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way and if you don't have horrendously disgusting dishes, this easily replaces any other bargain brands available.

Ajax Dish Liquid provides Bang for your Buck

3

I am a very cheap person so I felt I would save some money buying Ajax instead of dawn or the store brand.  I figured since the bathroom cleaner is so effective that the dish liquid had to be just as effective.  First off I am not a real big fan of the orange scent.  I am not even sure anymore why I picked orange.  I guess I thought it would be neat to try something different.  I feel that even though this product is cheaper you have to use more of it to make up for the fact that it is not as good as some of the more expensive products such as dawn.  It seems kind of watery compared to dawn so you have to use more because of that.  Also the orange scent that I was talking about is kind of sickening.  It is more like the orange scent that you would get from cough medicine than what you would get from an actual orange.  If I have more money the next time I need to buy dish liquid I will not buy this product again as it takes forever to get my dishes clean with this product.
