This is a "professional strength product" designed for home & salon use. It's a name brand item (Africas Best). They have been around for awhile & make good products. This herbal oil is a blend of 'natural oils'. It has a mild fragrance. This product can be used as a hot oil hair treatment, & if your body needs extra moisture, add a generous amount to a warm bath. Also good for rubbing on cuticles & dry feet. But beware, it is an oil, so it does cling to your hands. Make sure to have a towel or if you do not want to waste any of the product, just wipe it off somewhere where your body needs moisture. Scent This product has a nice scent from the oils (such as fruit oil, soybean oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, sage leaf extract, etc.. not overpowering at all. Absorption Absorbs very well. Effectiveness This product works! & has a few different uses. The price is also reasonable.

I like how this oil can be used for both your hair and your body, the one of the downsides is the smell. It smells just like baby oil to me and others have told me this as well. I guess someone who enjoys the smell of baby oil would like this. I mostly use this oil in my hair, but I rub it on my skin from time to time. The oil makes my hair really shiny and helps my skin from looking dry when I'm in a rush. I'm just glad the results lasts longer than the scent. If you look at the ingredients you'll see there's a lot of great stuff in it. I used to really love this oil, I think the first time I tried it was around 3 or 4 years ago, but I guess since I've tried so many other oils since then my love for it just isn't the same. Whenever I run out I still buy it. I haven't tried using it in a bath yet, but I have tried hot oil treatments with it. I can say that this is a really good oil for that since there's so much of it.

Usually, I am skeptical of using oils in my hair. Even if I only use a small dime sized amount every other day, they leave my hair feeling incredibly greasy and gives my hair a dirty and unclean appearance. When I first saw Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil in the store, I passed right by it and continued to do so on several occasions. Finally, I decided to give it a try after seeing that it is not expensive. After reading the ingredients, I was surprised to see that this oil does not contain any harmful ingredients. Instead it is made from things such as jojoba oil, almond oil, and olive oil which all help to promote hair growth. After using a new product, I usually check my hair each month to see if I can see any growth but I decided not to do this in case the product did not do anything for my hair. I am pleased to say that this oil has worked wonders for my hair. Sometimes I use too much of it at once but it makes my hair feel smooth and moisturized instead of making it feel oily. After I use it, it always makes my hair easier to comb through and makes it appear very shiny. I decided to do a length check after using the oil for four months and was got very excited to see that my hair had grow a couple of inches. Since my hair is always moisturized without being so oily that it clogs my roots, my hair is growing faster than it ever has. I have also noticed that I am seeing less shed hair on the floor and less hair in my comb and brush after using Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil. Also, it smells a little like baby oil but the scent is not overpowering.

I have been using Africa's best oil for about 4 years. I am a black man with Afro-Textured hair. I use this product when my hair is medium-long (when I am in need of a haircut). I use it when I get out of the shower and my hair is freshly washed (with Pantene 2-in-1). I massage a dime-sized amount into my still-damp hair, then follow up with a firm brush. The product smells good, moisturizes well, keeps all day, and does not run into my face or eyes. I give it a 10. (PS; It also works really well on dry hands, feet, knees and elbows).
