I bought this about 4 months ago.  the first one I got was the herb garden  I kept having a problem with the bulb blowing on just one side.  I must say their customer service was great for they sent me out replacements within one week.  I was not impressed with the what grew in the herb garden.  So I replaced it with the tomato.  I have yeilded approximatly 10 tomatoes.  they do taste good but for the price of the seed kit one would think you would have got a great deal more.  I must add that This should be the last week of my tomatoes since I am out of nutreients. I have also had a pump go on one.  wich was replaced by the company but now I am being chased for the cost of the replacement why I dont know since it was still under warranty.  The replacement garden also has issues the low water light blinks non stop and it is always topped off with water.  I also had a problem with the elctrodes getting corroded.  and that made the base not work.  but with some careful cleaning of the electrodes it seems to be working again properly.  oh make sure you unplug before cleaning the electrodes.  I think this product needs to work on the design.  another thing I must add is that the nutrient tablets in all my kits seemed to disenegrate they got all wet and sorta mushy and they were stored in a ziploc bag in a dry area.

I'm not familiar with how the Aero Garden works, but why couldn't you purchase your own tomatoe and herb seeds for a dollar and plant them in the Aero Garden? You can also buy your own plant food for a couple of bucks.
